It has benefited from a complete re-design and refurbishment in 2016. Accommodation comprises spacious living room incorporating new kitchen/diner; one double bedroom with ensuite shower room & wc accessing a private covered terrace; twin bedroom & second bathroom, accessing large, sunny terrace of 30 sq m overlooking the garden & pool. The living room in turn accesses a further, large sunny terrace, ideal for dining. The kitchen has granite worktops, large fridge freezer, dishwashwer, electric 4-ring hob and oven, plus microwave etc. Terrace furniture etc.Lovely walks directly from the farmhouse, Wifi, summer kitchen with washing machine. Apartment plan available on request.

Nous sommes frères et sœurs originaire d'Arles sur tech et nous essayons chaque année de retourner sur le lieu de notre naissance. Cela inclus malheureusement l'entretien des tombes de nos parents , grands parents et arrière grands parents mais également de profiter de la beauté de la région et de ces spécialités tel que la charcuterie et les rousquilles d'Arles sur tech et les cerises de Céret. Nous avons passé un séjour des plus agréable ,dans un gite très bien à tout point de vue .Avoir les oiseaux qui chantent toute la journée et ne pas entendre de voiture est vraiment très reposant. Notre hôte , Mme Lizzie Price nous a très bien reçu et nous a offert un cadre et un gite a la hauteur de la beauté de Mas Pallares . l

A beautiful place for a restful and relaxed vaca

The property is very well maintained and provides privacy and comfort in all regards. The apartment is beautifully arranged and provide ACs, a modern kitchen and a nice terrace. We enjoyed staying there and the owner is very friendly, responsive to inquiries and very interested in our wellbeing.

I grew up near the sea in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, but have travelled and lived in quite a few interesting places, including the Sudan, Cyprus and India. I was looking for an alternative lifestyle here in the south of France, when I quite by chance stumbled upon this ancient farmhouse. It was love at first sight. This was in the year 2000. I still love it here amongst the hills of cherry orchards and vines and never cease to appreciate the beauty surrounding me. Some of my family live nearby now which is a huge bonus.

Why they chose this property

The charm and timeless quality of this old stone farmhouse with its barrel ceilings, old beams and arches, captivated me, as did the idyllic surroundings. Below the garden a small river runs and all around are hills of ever changing colour from the bright yellow mimosa in winter, to the pale cherry blossom in spring. It is a truly enchanting place. It is just 20 minutes from the Spanish border, and just 40 mins from the Costa Brava. Being in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the walking possibilities are endless. The wonderful old market town of Ceret is just a few minutes drive and here one may sit and sip cofffee in one of the many pavement cafes below the plane trees. Picasso painted beneath these same trees. Altogether a magical place to live

The sense of age and timelessness in the fabric of the house gives one a great feeling of tranquility. The house is very large, but there are many cosy, intimate corners with private places to eat and rest, shaded by trees and scented shrubs
