Nestled in the heart of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the gated landscaped gardens of Galleon Beach Club and well known for being the best location on the island. Calypso shares the same world famous panoramic view that is usually taken from Shirley Heights and featured on almost every Antigua brochure worldwide.

Calypso Villa offers a truly wonderful Caribbean experience, relaxing in a private, authentic and romantic setting. Built in traditional Caribbean style, designed to bring the outside.....inside, with maximum airflow and coolness. Dining al fresco on the large glass table under the terrace and a Cabana inviting you to relax on the loungers with a cocktail or two, watching the superyachts come into this beautiful bay with breathtaking sunsets. Rooms include hand made wooden furniture, local art, paddle ceiling fans, A/C, mini fridge and striking sea views

The host is awesome! One of the most beautiful views! Located in a great area. Family of 11 and it accommodated us all with plenty of room. Plenty of bathrooms! Beds comfortable! Stayed 5 days. Very layed back!

Awesome villa!

The rooms, the pool and the view were awesome. Such a short walk to the beach! Definitely made my birthday trip amazing. Kind hosts and help within minutes of any questions. Definitely recommend!

Family Vacation

Great communication with owner. Really enjoyed all the hiking trails. June provided lots of advice on dining and activities and arranged for an excellent taxi driver. We were 9 people in our group and everyone of had a great experience.

Antigua get away

The area of Calypso was beautiful. We thank Bruce and June for allowing us to enjoy the home. The view from the deck was a million dollar view. The space was perfect for a large gathering. Our family enjoyed their time at the villa. The unit had a washer and dryer, however the dryer did not work, which made it hard to keep towels dry. Some of the patio furniture was in need of repair. Some updating is needed. Other than that the location is wonderful.

Wonderful Stay at Reggae Villa, Galleon Beach

Our family had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Reggae Villa. The house and pool are gorgeous and worked out wonderfully for my husband and I, our daughter and husband, and their 2 children ages 4 and 1-1/2 yrs. The accommodations were perfect for our group. The kitchen was well-equipped and worked out perfectly for staying in and making dinners (and breakfasts) at home. Given the accessibility of the beautiful infinity pool and our wee children, we had to be on our guard with them. But we were prepared for that and had brought life vests for the youngsters, so all was well. The hosts were wonderful and gave us numerous suggestions for activities and places to shop and eat in the area. It was a pleasure to meet Bruce and am sorry that circumstances kept us from meeting June in person. (Next time!) We love the English Harbor area of Antigua (this is our second trip to Antigua) and highly recommend the area and this villa (and hosts! :)) if you are considering a trip to Antigua!

What do you say about Paradise?

This was an amazing adventure for our family and our friends. Let’s begin at the beginning. We went to Antigua to meet our son who had been on a 3 month sailing cruise around the islands. Our neighbors and traveling companions came with us for 10 total travelers. From the first booking and communication, June and Bruce were incredible. Very responsive. We altered our itinerary - no problem. The island power went out - they called to let us know not to worry, they had solar and battery backup. A myriad of suggestions for food and entertainment, all of which were spot on. Fantastic hosts. Calypso is a gem. As a base for hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, nights out in town or days spent exploring Antigua, it was our home away from home. We already ordered the hammock that is suspended at the end of the deck. Sunsets, rainbows, meteor showers. Evenings of Reggae and Steel drums up at Shirley Heights or afternoons plunging in the pool after a long hike to the tidal pools. We’ve travelled the islands before and have used VRBO and Airbnb with great success, but June and Bruce and Calypso exceeded our expectations and made our experience magical. We will definitely come back.

A blissful spot

We all loved staying at Calypso. The view is truly world class, the villa has a lovely welcoming energy and is very peaceful. The surrounding grounds are beautiful too, with the beach at the bottom of the hill, an easy stroll. We ate outside by the pool most nights. There is a good bbq and the kitchen worked well for us. BTW there isn't a dishwasher. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with small fridges and have AC if you need it, but the breeze from the ocean, was enough for most of us. June and Bruce are excellent hosts, welcoming and very helpful. I don't think they come any better!

Great Stay!

The view from this property is one of the best we've ever seen! Beautiful position a short walk from a beautiful beach with turtles and crystal clear water. English Harbour is a short car ride away or you can get a water taxi if you prefer. June and Bruce were great hosts and did everything to make our stay perfect!

Great home with exquisite views, perfectly situated above the beautiful harbor & plenty big for large families. The property is only a short 5 minute stroll to the beach and about 1.5 miles into the town where you can find everything you need for a fabulous vacation. Kitchen definitely needs updating but overall, great vacation home. Owner was very responsive to questions during our stay. Taxi's were readily available.

We both lived & worked in Antigua before returning to the UK to raise our two girls & two boys who are all now young adults! Calypso is our dream home in paradise and we love to share it with friends and guests that return year after year for an unforgettable Caribbean experience!

Footsteps away are tropical nature trails to the famous Shirley Heights, Beach bar & restaurant “Loose Canon” on a white powder sand beach with great snorkelling with the turtles and swimming in the warm calm bay. Lots of activities and sailing events with plenty of nearby restaurants bars and night life.
