The house was so spectacular, and like others have said, the views were more beautiful than the pictures. The house was very clean. Proximity to the beach was great (less than 5 mins). We loved our visit so much!

This view is magical! We had a visit from deer in the mornings and whales swimming by in the evenings. Lovely wrap around deck as well! Highly recommend!

Lovely experience with pristine views. Only down side is it got quite hot and we couldn’t figure out how to get the AC to work. Otherwise inspirational and beautiful stay loved by all.

Absolutely fantastic property. You will not be disappointed. The views are unrivaled and we saw whales, dolphins, eagles and owls. The house is well appointed and has everything you may need. I don’t believe there is AC but there is heat if needed. The house has a Keurig, a regular coffee pot and percolators if you are a coffee drinker. The beds were SUPER comfortable with extremely high quality linens and pillows. It is in a very dark area at night and we saw the Milky Way every night we were there with the naked eye. Be sure to visit Chimney Corner Beach while you’re there!A few pointers: make sure to visit the house before you go out and buy a bunch of supplies. The house comes well stocked and you may not need to bring things that you’d typically need to bring to a rental. Also, the bugs can get really bad so be prepared for tons of bugs during the warmer months.

Beautiful House, Stunning Location

The location of the house is absolutely stunning with almost 270 degree ocean views. The house is charming, well, appointed, and comfortable for staying in on days when the weather favors not venturing out.

A stunning location and beautiful home. My husband and I stayed 4 nights to do some hiking in the area, but some of the best views we had were from the giant wrap around deck! We wish we had booked more time so we could just spend a day at the house watching the ocean and the sunsets. If you appreciate design, you will also love this home for its angles and the small details in the decor. If you like flowers, the property was fully in bloom with native wildflowers.We highly recommend.

Our stay in this beautiful home was truly unforgettable. It felt like stepping into a storybook. Perched on the hill and surrounded by colorful wildflowers, the house was peaceful, charming, and offered breathtaking views in every direction.Each evening we looked forward to the stunning sunsets. We saw whales surface several times. We saw beautiful birds every day: various warblers, flycatchers, woodpeckers and more. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Cape Breton.Our host was wonderful—friendly, responsive, and an excellent communicator throughout our stay. Everything was exactly as described. The house was impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook. One thing to note is that the home does not have a dishwasher. Normally that might be a consideration for us, but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. The charm, character, and breathtaking beauty of the home and its surroundings more than made up for it. It felt like a small tradeoff for the opportunity to stay in such a special place.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We stayed in Panorama Cottage for three nights, but I wish it was more.Any minor physical faults this property might have are completely outweighed by its location. The views are simply breathtaking. Everyone in our party agreed that photos simply could not capture the beauty. The house itself has an ideal floor plan and has been meticulously designed. The hosts aren’t being boastful when they say there are spectacular views from every room. We saw a bald eagle, and through the tenacity of my niece and a pair of really good binoculars, we spotted small whales several km off the coast.I have never stayed in a VRBO that was so well-stocked with cookware and utensils. We had one concern and the host and housekeeper were immediately available to help problem-solve.As other reviews have noted, the house is surrounded by fields of wildflowers and forest. They are gorgeous to look at and the birds and insects love them, too. Be sure to bring bug spray for the biting insects and be patient with any weevils that bumble their way into the house.On our initial night we were treated to the experience of, what the locals call, a surête. Some in our party found it thrilling, while others…not so much. Wind is to be expected when you’re situated so far above the cliffs and trees. It was awesome!I would absolutely stay in Panorama Cottage again.

Inspiring view!

We were travelling with our kids aged 6,8,10 and 12 - the “kids” room equipped with art supplies, a toy chest and books was a magical space for them. We woke up every morning and fell asleep every night in awe of the view. The home was intentionally designed without a tv, microwave or dishwasher, which was a bit challenging but we embraced it. Chimney Corner beach was a beautiful spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here - it was an incredible experience.

This is a spectacular home in a one of a kind setting! The photos do not do it justice. We so appreciated the little details and lovely features, designed to make this a special home away from home. Panorama Cottage

The property had the most beautiful views of any place we have ever stayed. The scenery, wildlife, and sky viewing were incredible! Saw moose, deer, and eagles; shooting stars and the Milky Way; and fantastic sunsets!

Gorgeous house on hilltop, with amazing view

Gorgeous house built by designers, with incredible views of the water. Very remote location with few services around but charming secluded beach nearby. Owner was very responsive and helpful.

A beautiful house that complements a spectacular vista

The first thing that strikes one on arriving at Panorama Cottage is the spectacular 360-degree vista of the Cabot Coast, a view unrivaled anywhere in Cape Breton. On settling in, it is obvious that every detail of the cottage has been designed to reveal, reflect and complement the beauty of the sea and mountains surrounding it. The elegant simplicity of the decor and the masterful selection of colors in every room of the cottage are testament to the sensitive eye of the designer. Just 5 minutes away are Chimney Corner beach, the nicest in the region and the warmest water in the North Atlantic, and the delightful Woodroad restaurant.

truly heaven on earth

I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous home. The most spectacular view, stunningly designed interiors, fully equipped kitchen, sound system, endless activities for the kids, gear for beach days, picnics, etc. It had everything and more. I couldn't have imagined a better place to visit and we cannot wait to book our next holiday there. Thank you so much to Alexandra for sharing her spectacular home!
