Enjoy beautiful sunrises and all the luxuries that accompany beach side living. This two-bedroom ground floor condominium in Pono Kai is steps from a mile-long, sandy beach. This beautiful condominium has been privately owned, cared for, and enjoyed by us for nine years. We take pride in the quality and decor of our island home.

The two bedroom, two bath condominium comfortably sleeps two to six people. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds, and a queen-size sleeper sofa is in the living room. It is well equipped with dishes, pans, dishwasher, microwave, air conditioning, and cable TV. Laundry facilities are available in the complex.

We have made several trips to Kauai. This condo was very spacious, clean, comfortable and and had all the comforts of home. It is very close and convenient to everything and being able to sit and watch the surf from the patio area was relaxing. I definitely recomend this condo and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Just bring your swimsuits and enjoy!!

great vicinity to ocean and shops.

really liked the location of the unit, ground floor right in front of the ocean. close to shops and restaurants in Kapaa, especially Olympic cafe and Kountry Kitchen. unit could be updated but liked waking up to sunrise each morning. need to be cautious about security because there is a public walkway near the beach.

Great place and wonderful owners!

We lived on Kauai for a number of years, so when we returned to visit we knew we wanted to be centrally located! This condo was roomy, amazing beach front and had everything we needed! The beach path is just steps from the patio, many restaurants and stores just a short walk away, laundry facilities are just down the hall, pool, hot tub, volleyball net all just a short walk! It really could not have been better! And to top it off, the owners were so accommodating, and always got back to me so quickly! Would 100% stay here again!

clean, nice beach and ocean view.

Place needs updating, only has one small tv, none in the bedrooms, wifi did not work, beds were comfortable, a decent place for the money, bit I am used to something a little more upscale.

The location is a 5 Star. The condo is in need of repairs.

For us the condo was more that adequate. The sunrise from the lanai is spectacular. A/C was a very nice convenience.

The condo itself is showing signs of needing repair. The latch on the sliding glass door to the lanai is difficult to lock due to corrosion. The ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom does not work. There is signs of water leaking from the condo above creating mold on the ceiling in the main bedroom/ bath area. There was nightly visits to our kitchen by rats that may be disturbing to some. The Pono Kai staff were prompt to get us a trap... the rat didn't get caught tho. So do not leave any food or garbage out, including fruit. Leaving the kitchen light on deterred it. It was apparent the rat could come and go through the cupboard containing the hot water tank. Overall we had a great stay in Kapaa and would go again.

Owner's Response: Dear Tom, Thank you for your review. I would like to address some of your comments. I agree that the latch on the siding door needs to be replaced. It has worked adequately in the past and is backed-up by a secondary locking bar above the door, but being an ocean front property comes with corrosive salt spray that wrecks havoc on small moving parts. Thank you for bringing its finicky nature to my attention. The ceiling fan in the second bedroom was never broken; a switch located over the bed controls it. Like this ceiling fan, and most others, it has a chain that cycles between different speeds and an on/off position, while a secondary wall switch controls power to the entire fan. The mold and sheetrock damage in the master bedroom was caused by a leak in the unit above us. Since your visit that leak has been fixed and all damaged sheetrock has been removed and replaced. It’s all good as new now. We have owned this condo for 35 years and this is the first year we have had any issue with rodents. We attribute this sudden presence to several ecological circumstances, the most important being Pono Kai’s recent removal of feral cats which leaves the rodents unchecked by a natural predator. Rodents are not a problem unique to our unit. Our unit does not have contributing factors that make it more prone to rodents than any other, but rather it is a Pono Kai and Hawaiian Island archipelago wide problem. Since the first signs of rodents (by “signs” I mean food being nibbled, no sightings or droppings have ever been reported) we have worked diligently with Pono Kai and the exterminator they contract with to eliminate this problem. Pono Kai has sealed all outside access points with sheet metal and the exterminator has placed traps and poison. We are on the phone several times a week with Pono Kai and the exterminator and are hopeful the rodents will be eliminated very soon. Ultimately we can all blame Captain Cook’s arrival to the Hawaiian Islands in 1778 for the introduction of these little beasts into paradise. Best Regards, Alice

Great location and views.

Large accommodations for the price, accurate view as pictured. Right along a walking path that is a short walk to the shops of Kapaa. Nice to have all the extras such as boogie boards, books, and kitchen supplies. Nice complex.
