The condo was very roomy and located steps from the pool and spa. It was a short walk to the beach. And the beach turned out to be our favorite of all that we visited. It was a small, sandy beach and not busy. The location was great. We could walk to shops and restaurants. We rented bikes from the local shop and rode along the beautiful paved path all along the coast. We would definitely stay here again.

The resort was excellent. It looked much better in person than in the photos. We were happily impressed. The location was great to do day trips all over the island. The property staff was constantly working to keep everything clean and well manicured. The koi pond was so beautiful. We played ping-pong, croquet, bocci ball and used the putting greens. The even had games to check out. The grill we used was clean. J107 is the best location: closest to the pool, recreation activities, laundry, front desk, and parking. The host responded immediately to our communications and was very pleasant to work with. Highly recommend

This VRBO was exactly as described - loved being on the ground level where we could walk out directly to the pool, hot tub, the beach, putting green, etc! The bedrooms and other living spaces were spacious with good beds, and a well stocked kitchen and nice TV, portable beach chairs, a cooler, plenty of towels. All was fresh and clean! Laundry facility within the building. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. The Kapa'a location was great being about 1/2 way to either end of the roads circling the island and convenient to the airport. Thank you for providing a lovely, comfortable space for a family of 4 adults!

We had a two week family trip with our elderly father and really enjoyed this unit. The kitchen was well stocked and the unit was quiet and spacious. It was just steps from the pool and parking was close. I definitely recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Pono Kai Resort. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities needed. Outside the sliding glass doors was the pool and hot tub. The grounds were beautiful. The resort is against a beach on the east coast. The resort is in walking distance to the Kapa'a town center with a number of places to eat and shop.

Great place, great location!

The condo is really quite large! Was really surprised how big all the rooms were! Awesome location and well maintained all around! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Great Location

Best area on Kuaui! Property was easy to access and central for anything you want to do. Near a lovely ocean trail and beaches. Host was very responsive and place was just what we needed.

Central to downtown shops. Loved the walking path….walked miles everyday. Felt safe.Condo clean and had all that was needed to use the kitchen to make meals. Grounds were well maintained. Would definitely stay there again!

The condo was perfect for our family. We love the ground floor so the kids can easily access the pool area from the lanai. Short walk to restaurants, food trucks, and convenience stores. Communication was excellent, and they were very accommodating.

Didn’t have a beach view. Unit was clean and spacious. Our only complaint was the bed was so uncomfortable for everyone. The mattresses appeared to be very firm but everyone had trouble sleeping and a backache. Other than that e erything was fine. Good location.

Very nice condo.

This is an excellent unit for a family. The Pono Kai grounds are beautiful and this unit is very close to the pool. Our kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the Koi pond every morning. The property manger was a delight to work with. I would highly recommend this unit and I hope to return soon.

Place was nice just enough space for the 5 of us. Full kitchen so cooked to save from going out or just having something to eat when every place closes early. Check in was simple and reaching out to ask for early check in went well. Overall good experience

Kapaa Fun at Pono KI

We had a great time in this condo and at the complex. The unit is very close to the pool so we could easily access it when we were not busy with other activities. The mini golf course was a blast and you could play chess on a life size board. Also ping pong, croquet, and pickle ball available. The beach and board walk are a short walk from the condo. The condo had amenities such as beach towels, chairs, and a cooler. Only draw back was bedroom with king bed was a bit toasty so used two fans in it. The condo is within walking distance to many shops. Restaurants, and food trucks. Location is pretty central so easy drive to Lihue, Poipu, and Hanalei. Overall, we had a great time and would stay there again if traveling to Kauai. Mahalo!

Upon our arrival we were terribly disappointed that the unit reeked of stale cigarette smoke like an old motel. The unit is managed by a property manager. When we complained about the smell, they told us that they had been in the unit the previous week and had smelled nothing at all. Both of the toilets started leaking on day 2. Candace, the property manager, promptly contacted a plumber who re-seated both of them but left a large mess behind in both bathrooms. The location is nice; close to the beach, but the condo itself is in the building at the back of the property, farthest from the beach. Candace did a lot of communicating through my email, instead of through the VRBO app, which was confusing and cumbersome. The entire unit is in dire need of updating.-definitely 80’s era. We most certainly would not stay here again, mostly due to the horrible smell. The unit would need new carpet, drapes, furniture, paint, etc. to rectify the situation. Four adults stayed here and the stench was unmistakable. I just wish I had known prior to booking, and that is why I am leaving this review-so others can be informed. Also, there is a plaque on the coffee table saying “no smoking”. Why?? The unit has clearly been smoked in for years!!
