Cette maison était le refuge de notre famille pour l'été. Maintenant, il est entièrement rénové pour une utilisation toute l'année d'une manière moderne qui vous fait sentir que c'est votre maison loin de chez vous. Vous prendrez votre petit déjeuner le matin ou votre verre le soir dans la grande véranda avec une vue mer exceptionnelle (thea thalassa). Nager dans la piscine privée avec une vue imprenable détendra votre corps et vos sens.

La villa Thea Thalassa (vue sur la mer en grec) est située à Kato Galatas, un quartier calme non loin du centre de La Canée (4,9 km) et de la vieille ville. Le village de Kato Galatas (Kato signifie en grec, signifiant ici «plus bas sur la colline») est devenu en termes relatifs une zone suburbaine de La Canée, tout en conservant une atmosphère calme et résidentielle. La maison est construite sur le bord inférieur de la colline, juste au-dessus de la mer et peut être atteint soit par la route qui relie Chania et Kissamos (en direction ouest) ou la route nationale (marquée E65) qui relie toutes les principales villes du nord littoral de Crète.
À distance de marche de la maison il y a des restaurants en bord de mer, des cafés, des pizzas fast-food, des mini et des supermarchés.
En bus local (billet de 1,5 euro) en environ 20 min ou en taxi en 10-15 min (8-10 euro), vous pouvez vous retrouver au centre de La Canée pour explorer le vieux port vénitien.
Sur le côté ouest de la route principale (ancienne route nationale) se trouvent les plages de sable de Stalos, Agia Marina et Platanias. Plus fréquenté et plein de bars de plage, restaurants, magasins, bars et boîtes de nuit. Promenez-vous le long du littoral pour profiter du coucher de soleil et de la vue sur la mer.
Sur le côté est de la route principale (en direction de la ville) se trouvent les plages de sable de Kalamaki (à 5 min à pied de la maison), Agi Apostoli et Chrisi Akti qui vous mènent après moins de 5 km à la vieille ville de La Canée (si vous aimez marcher, c'est une très belle promenade à travers le littoral!).
En 1 min en voiture, vous pouvez vous retrouver sur la route nationale (E65) afin d'avoir un accès très facile aux célèbres plages de "Falassarna", "Elafonisi" et "Balos".
L'aéroport de La Canée est à 15 km (environ 20-30 minutes en voiture).
DIRECTIVES DE CONDUITE DE L'AÉROPORT DE CHANIA ET DU PORT DE SOUDA
Suivez les panneaux routiers jusqu'à l'autoroute et vers Kissamos (en direction ouest). Prendre la sortie Galatas, tourner à droite au panneau d'arrêt. Continuez tout droit et suivez le panneau Kato Galatas. Vous verrez la maison sur votre droite juste avant la fin de la route (nom et numéro de la rue: Eleftherias 1)

À Agi Apostoli, vous pouvez choisir le «Golden Fun Park» pour le bowling et le mini-golf. Et si vous êtes un passionné de tennis, vous pouvez visiter le "Tennis Club Chania" et éventuellement organiser un match.
Dans une zone plus large (vous avez besoin d'une voiture ou d'un taxi), il y a "Limnoupolis" le plus grand parc aquatique de Crète, des hippodromes pour la conduite de charrettes et un club d'équitation (dans le village de Varipetro).

Perfect villa for a perfect trip

We visited with friends and the villa was perfect and made the holiday. The pool was amazing and the views spectacular. Elena was very helpful and always available for us. Location was great a few minutes walk to beach and shops. Would definitely visit again.

Amazing place

This is an amazing place! The lovely host Eleni was very helpfull and nice and also surpriced us with a cake and wine at arrival. Spendid view and house - the place is even more beautiful than the pictures show! Great pool for adults and kids. Short walk to market places, resturants and beaches. We would love to come back!

Fabulous villa

We had a fantastic holiday at Thea Thalassa. The communication with Elena was excellent from start to finish and she left us a wonderful welcome pack including homemade cake and pastries. The villa was extremely clean and had everything we needed, the beds were very comfy and the views were amazing. It is very well located for beaches and restaurants, I recommend the Corinna restaurant nearby, lovely meal with an amazing sunset. Easy to get into Charnia either by bus or parking on the outskirts and walking in.

Very nice house with pool and sea views

The house was exactly as described, modern and nicely furnished & decorated. The house is very well equipped. Elena is a really wonderful host. She surprised us on arrival with a homemade cake and a bottle of wine. Fresh fruit, coffee and groceries for our first breakfast were already there. Galatas is only an hour's walk from the port of Chania and a very good starting point for excursions in the western and southern part of Crete. The view of the sea is beautiful and we enjoyed eating on the terrace. We would love to come back and can recommend the house unreservedly.

Beautiful, modern, and spotlessly clean home with gorgeous views

We loved our 4-night stay at Thea Thalassa! Elena was very welcoming, meeting us at the home at our preferred time, and she was there to see us off when we left for the airport, even though it was just after 7am. She made us a delicious chocolate cake to welcome us and was happy to show us all of the home's features. The view of the sea from the patio is so beautiful and the pool is stunning (my 2 girls spent a lot of time in it!) We appreciated the air conditioning in both bedrooms because the heat of the day can really make things hot at night for sleeping. The kitchen had everything we needed, including pots and pans, a dishwasher, and even a washing machine (no dryer, but there was a large drying rack and hanging your clothes outside in the Greek heat dries them very quickly.) There was a parking space with a gate you closed at night. We opted to take the bus into Chania a few times after seeing that the parking situation in town could be tricky. The bus is only 1.70 Euros per ride, and the 21 bus picks up just past the hotel that is below the house. It lets you off right near the old town and the ride is about 30 minutes. We took a taxi home at night, which would cost 10 Euros. On a few nights, we sat outside on the patio with a nice bottle of wine that Elena left for us and enjoyed the live music that was playing at the bar in the hotel below the house - it was like having our own private concert and it stopped right at 11pm so the neighborhood could sleep. Our favorite thing about Thea Thalassa was that it was like our own oasis outside of the bustle and crowds of Chania. We could "get away from it all", but still be only a few miles from the history, restaurants, and shops of Chania. There are also some nice restaurants in Kalamaki that are a short walk from the house, when you just don't feel like heading into the city. Overall, Thea Thalassa exceeded our expectations and was one of the nicest homes we've ever rented!

Absolutely perfect!

We had a fantastic time in this villa: the view is absolutely stunning, high standard of equiment and design in the house, very quiet , a few meters from a nice beach and restaurants, a lovely swimming-pool with both sun and shade possible, a few kilometers from Chania! A special thanks to Elena for being so welcoming and making our stay pure pleasure :)

Fantastic villa. Perfect!

Eleni was the perfect host, guiding us on a number of occasions. Nothing was too much trouble and her responses always immediate and more than helpful and her chocolate cake simply the best! The villa was modern, superbly equipped with staggeringly good views. The location too proved very convenient for walking to local restaurants. We used 4 and returned to each. All were excellent quality and value. Chania Old Town and harbour are quite magical. We taxied in half a dozen times to saunter round and eat - again great food at competitive prices in beautiful settings. Eleni sorted out a hire car for 7 days and we saw more of this magical island. In summary, a perfect 2 weeks in a perfect villa with a perfect host. We will return! Xx

Traumhafter Meerblick

Das Haus ist überdurchschnittlich gepflegt und sauber. Die Terrasse bietet einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer. Es war wirklich alles vorhanden, von Gewürzen über Spülmaschinen Tabs bis hin zu Handtüchern für den Strand. Zur Begrüßung stand eine Flasche Wein sowie eine Obstschale bereit. Der Kühlschrank war auch schon mit ein paar Sachen gefüllt. In etwa acht Minuten kommt man zu einem kleinen Strand mit Sonnenschirmen und Liegen. Einen kleinen Supermarkt findet man direkt am Ende der Straße ca. zwei Minuten Fußmarsch entfern. Möchte man einen größeren Einkauf erledigen sollte man das Auto nehmen und Richtung Chania fahren. Nach ca. Fünf Minuten findet man einen großen Einkaufsmarkt. Wir haben den Urlaub dort sehr genossen. Elena war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und stand bei Fragen immer gleich zur Verfügung. Abschließend können wir das Haus absolut und uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmals an Elena!!!

Beautiful sea view and a great host

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Thea Thalassa. Elena was an incredibly helpful host, she had left lots of thoughtful touches; towels for washing, pool towels and beach towels, a nice bottle of wine, fruit and bread. You could really see the attention to detail. The villa itself was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. There’s a fantastic sea view, beautifully framed by the outdoor raised patio. We sat out there for hours during our stay. The north-east aspect means the pool warms up nicely from the sun in the morning, and the outdoor space stays well sunned until the evening. The area was quite quiet when we stayed, understandably due to travel restrictions, but all the restaurants were still open and we enjoyed the very personal service. The villa is easy to get to from Chania airport, we weren’t driving and got a taxi directly there for around 30 euros. The sea is literally 1-2 mins walk away, while the closest beach is around 8-10 mins walk. There are a few little mini-markets within close walking distance to get basic supplies. Overall we were very happy with our stay, it was perfect for a relaxing few days get away, and we couldn’t fault anything. We would highly recommend Elena’s villa, and will almost certainly visit again.

THE SPACE
Our residence can accommodate up to 5 people (in winter time 4) in one individual house. The house (80 m2) -situated in a private lot (400 m2)- consists of one living room with a sofa bed, 2 bedrooms (the master with a king size bed and ensuit bathroom) and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen area is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. From the balcony and the outdoors pool (35 m2) you will enjoy the amazing view to the Aegean sea…A private parking is available in the lot.
