This is a grand old stone house on the hillside with a commanding view of town and the water, room for many people, and a large deck with a tiny but clean and refreshing swimming pool. The owners stay in an apartment next door and were very friendly and welcoming. The house is quite old, and the facilities are clean, but basic. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Internet worked well. There is AC in the kitchen and in the family room, but not in the bedrooms, and we had some sweltering hot days where the bedrooms were pretty stifling. For 2000 Euro's a week, I would expect AC in the sleeping areas! There is a hiking trail up the mountain a short walk away. The village, beach, restaurants and activity is a 15-20 minute downhill walk. You might be tempted to drive if it's hot and you have a place to park down there. Being out of the village could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your point of view. We didn't mind too much and overall, we had a fine stay in spite of the heat.
We reserved this house when our other accommodation cancelled on us at the last moment (that was property ID #884348ha- don't reserve that one!). This house was much bigger, a lot more expensive, and farther from the action than we wanted, but we had no other options. The travel agency wouldn't accept a credit card for the deposit, and I had to spend half a day traveling between banks in Belgrade trying to find one that would wire the money for me. I finally had to do it in a co-workers name as for some reason no one would wire money for a foreigner living in Belgrade. I would avoid using this travel agency again for this reason and it is hard to fathom why they insisted on this very unfriendly policy!
