The location of this historic cottage is perfect, but it did not match the description very well. Although listed for 6 people, the beds will only sleep 5 comfortably, there is seating in the dining area for 4, seating for 3 in the lounge, and two rusted chairs in the outside area. This outside area had rubbish lying around, dead plants and weeds in pots, and no clean places to sit. The mattress in the main bed was uncomfortable- we could feel the springs. The pillows and quilt were stained. The window did not stay up without propping. The kitchen was fine, but did contain open food and grimy container of coffee on a grimy tray. Although we were disappointed by the presentation, the location was perfect. The pub on the nearest corner sold great wine and cider, and the Buttermarket pub close by had great pies and beer. And the Cathedral of course, was barely 5minutes walk.
The apartment is centrally located but that was the only positive as we had a disappointing stay. It’s clean but there was a musty smell throughout and although the listing states there’s a TV available, it was on the lounge floor and hadn’t been installed. When we arrived at the property the box for TV was left outside in front of the lounge window next to rubbish left there. There is no parking at the property so you have to offload bags first then find parking which costs £30 a day. There was no welcome book with contact numbers, information, house rules so we couldn’t even discuss with the host so had to call VRBO to help. When We eventually got in contact with the host I was told their son had been staying at the property and left the TV there and that a TV was not in the listing which it clearly is. It appears the hosts were not interested in engaging with their clients to ensure that everything was as expected, which it wasn’t. Our stay was only for 3 nights but the TV issue never got resolved and we certainly wouldn’t stay here again or recommend this cottage. Disappointing!

Clean and tidy but Small
This is advertised for 6 people with 3 double bedrooms but one of the bedrooms is single, this did not affect us as we only had one adult in this room. then downstairs there are only 4 chairs to sit at the table ? Also for the lounge part there is just the one sofa and one chair ? We found it difficult to seat ourselves let alone if there were six of us. Also there was no pack to give us instructions about things in the property ......for instance the water went cold after 3 showers and it took a little while to work out about the boiler, also no information on Canterbury, such as things to do and places to eat etc which is always useful. The property is as it says near the cathedral and well placed we found it clean and tidy and the kitchen, though small, was very well equipped. Parking is a problem but a few car parks within walking distance.

Top spot
Superplek in leuk gebied, alles op loopafstand te doen. Huis is schoon.

Cordialement
Mario Fernandez 👍🏻
