Family break

This is our second stay at The Mill House. It’s absolutely beautiful and completely suited to our family to come together and spend quality time. We had our 1 year old grandson with us and he loved the Play Barn and facilities. Everything is simply fantastic.

Fabulous accommodation

A great place

Family break back at the Millhouse

Great property and location for a family get together . The playbarn was great for our 20 month grandson Thank you Robert and the team. Ps We are back again with friends in 3 weeks.

Excellent Accommodation

Ideal accommodation for a large family/group holiday. Communications following booking have always been clear and helpful. Accommodation was available when promised and ready for us to arrive and settle in. All facilities far exceed normal accommodation provisions and the owner was contactable and helpful and could not have done anything more.

Thursday Girls

This was our second visit of 8 ladies to Mill House, and, once again we had an amazing weekend here, we arrived Friday, all had amazing back massages with Lucy, bus ride into Shrewsbury on Saturday, shopping and food at the House of the Rising Sun, Back on the bus, hot tub, snacks, Sunday, breakfast, a little walk and we made a fantastic Christmas dinner together, with a homemade trifle to follow! It is a perfect house for us all and have rebooked again for next November, the only downside is was the time went too quickly !

What more do you need?

We spent a week in the Mill House with our children and grandchildren, it was perfect. It is hard to work out what you would need to make a more perfect week. The house is immaculate and has oodles of space. The bedrooms are well sized and all have en-suite facilities. The play barn and the barn with the climbing frame provided everything that was needed to keep the children, aged from 2 to 18, amused either in the ball pit or on the pool table. We were blessed with good weather but in truth we were all just as happy chilling around the property and using the facilities that were on offer. For a group of 14 like ours I suspect you would struggle to find a property that was of equal quality and that came equipped with such great additional facilities. A great week.

Amazing play barn

Stayed at mill house for the weekend with a mix of adults and kids and loved every minute of it. House is very spacious and has everything you need. The play barn for us was the highlight. A good variety of things in there for all ages particularly for my toddler daughter who was obsessed with the soft play. The honesty shop was helpful when we had forgotten a few bits. A few minor points that could be improved, one dishwasher broken and the other had broken racks inside, only one pool cue that worked, and some of the doors were sticking but none of this impacted our stay. Hope we can get back one day

Lovely spacious and well maintained cottage

Had a great time at Mill house cottages. Our second stay and enjoyed it. Cottage was easy to find, parking was good. Cottage was clean. All furniture was good quality. Hot tub and sauna were good. We used badminton court a fair bit.

The best stay

We have been coming to stay here for about 6 years. There are between 15 and 19 and we stay in two cottages. They are clean and comfortable and well equipped. We have done many walk from here and really enjoyed the countryside. The addition of a hot tub is the icing on the cake. Having a sports hall and games room means these cottages are ideal for all ages. We thoroughly recommend staying here.

4th stay here for annual get together, highly recommended

Great accommodation, all bedrooms ensuite and lots of room for our annual club get together.. Stayed here 4 times now and usually book in conjunction with other cottages on site depending on numbers. Plenty big enough entertaining space to get 20+ in to ear and drink and enjoy the facilities . Hot tub and sauna are added bonuses. The play barn is another great space to utilise. Julie and Betty Lou are easy t deal with and answer any queries. Good walks within a shore distance and a pub not far up the road for an evening meal. Highly recommended and very good value for money for the standard of accommodation.

A Lovely Place to be

This was our first holiday together as a whole family of 12 from 3 generations, and the location and facilities were perfect for everyone. All ages were catered for, and the hot-tub, pool table and games room were all well-used! There is so much to explore locally, and the scenery is beautiful. Thank you!

Overall OK

Very large property, great all bedrooms having en suite bathroom's some parts tired, eg tatty blinds, scatter cushions, sadly not very good views, play barn very shabby. Not best pleased with long to do list on leaving, strip beds, put into bags, put towels into bags, empty bins, its supposed to be a holiday, arrival time has been changed to allow for extra cleaning (was 15-00 now 16-00) one hour to allow for extra cleaning, why? so hence the poor rating on value for money.

Wonderful stay at the Mill House

We received a warm welcome to the Mill House which provided the ideal place for an extended family get together to join wedding celebrations at a local venue. The accommodation is spacious and very "well appointed" with everything you could need provided. Our family group ranged in age from 3 to 88 years, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Along with a pool table, sauna and hot tub facilities in the Mill House accommodation there are great facilities on the site. The children particularly enjoyed the playbarn and play area facilities, and getting to know the chickens.

Local wedding

A group of 13 booked for 3 nights stay to attend a wedding at local Stanford Farm, the house is massive great choice of rooms. Plenty of space to have privacy as well as group activities, beautiful walks and lots near by activity wise..., hot tub and sauna was amazing full facilities, washing machine dryer iron etc kitchen ideal booked an Asda delivery to the door was perfect. We used a local company swains coaches to transfer us from A to B. Our time away went without a hitch. We definitely hope we have a reason to return.

Brilliant house for large family weekend away

The Mill house was perfect for our 7 adult, 6 children family weekend away. Everyone had their own room with en suites so no queuing for facilities! Every bathroom had super white fluffy towels and soap. There was constant hot water and great underfloor heating downstairs. The house was spotless when we arrived and the hot tub was all set ready to be used. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking and so nice to have a welcome basket of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. The children loved the play barns and seeing the chickens and cats roaming free around the courtyard. We will definitely book here again.

Perfect

Another amazing stay at Upper Farm Cottages! Can’t speak highly enough of the accommodation, hot tubs lovely luxury. Something for every age from ball pit to facilities for indoor badminton/football - ideal for rainy days. Hosts great, there if you need them but privacy respected.
