Situated in the historical center in Cascais, this apartment is at 1 min walking distance from the beach "Praia da Ribeira". Literally at the center you are close to everything in Cascais, from the Atlantic Ocean to supermarkets, passing by restaurants and bars.

The apartment is situated at the first floor. At your left side you have the seating area with a TV with cable channels, Infront of the living room you have the kitchen with a vitroceramic oven. You have all the cooking utensils needed to cook your meals while at the apartment. You also have a table with chairs that can be used as the dining area.

After the kitchen you have the bathroom with a modern glass shower.

There are 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom features a double bed and the other two have a single bed. All the bedrooms have decorative pictures in the walls.

We've had a great time.

The location is ideal, everything is within 5-10 minutes walking distance. The house is very quiet. You can only hear the music of the nearby bars on weekends and with closed windows this is not a problem. The flat is not comfortably furnished, but the old house has much charm. The electrics are not optimal, e.g. the kitchen light switch sometimes does not work or only works when pressed several times. The interior shutters are painted in such a way that the hinges can no longer be moved. The cupboards (inside) and cooking utensils in the kitchen should be cleaned every now and then. (The bathroom is tiny, taller guests have to pull their heads in at the door. But that can't be changed in this flat.)

Mein zweiter Aufenthalt in Casa Sanches

Die Wohnung in der ersten Etage des alten Hauses hat viel Stil. Man sollte allerdings alte Wandschränke, Mülleimer ... mögen. Die Wohnung ist sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet, ein "richtiges" Wohnzimmer gibt es zwar nicht (es ist eher ein erweiterter Flurbereich mit Sofa, TV ...), aber sie hat drei Schlafzimmer und eine einfache, aber zweckdienliche Küche mit Esstisch. Das Bad ist so klein, dass sehr korpulente Menschen Probleme bei der Nutzung haben könnten. Sehr große Menschen müssen beim Betreten den Kopf einziehen. Da mich diese Merkmale nicht betreffen und ich alte (nicht abgewohnte) Häuser und Wohnungen sehr mag, ist diese Wohnung für mich in den ruhigen Monaten (Nov.-März) perfekt. In dieser Zeit gibt es von draußen keine/wenige Schlaf störenden Geräusche, da die vorbei pilgernde Touri-Menge noch überschaubar ist. Der Standort ist ideal: keine 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof mit Cafe (ab 6.00 Uhr geöffnet) und Laden, 2-3 Minuten zum ersten Strand, zur Touri Info, zu Restaurantes ... Ich habe meinen zweiten Aufenthalt (trotz heftigem täglichem Regen) dort sehr genossen. Anzumerken ist außerdem, dass mein Empfang am Ankunftsabend sehr freundlich und die Abreise unkompliziert war. In der kalten Jahreszeit bei niedrigen Temperaturen die Wohnung vor der Ankunft leicht vorheizen (sie war total ausgekühlt). Das Innere des eingebauten Küchenwandschranks besser reinigen. Besteckausstattung überprüfen und ergänzen/erneuern. (Vielleicht haben einige Teile in den letzten Jahren Beine bekommen.) Für mich war es kein Problem, da ich alleine gereist bin, aber wenn 4 Personen die Küche nutzen, wird´s schwierig.

Fabulous location

This was so well located for everywhere in Cascais. We were given a useful and detailed introduction to Cascais complete with recommendations. We cooked some great meals but also ate out. The bars up the road on the right were lovely including the friendly guy with the shop. The apartment is simply and beautifully decorated but if there were four people they wouldnt fit round the table to eat. It was a great space for two. It was cool with the shutters closed. We didnt really need the fans but they are a good idea. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it. More middle sized pans (they are very bigvery small) and some wine glasses. A washing machine would be very useful. There is a launderette up the road but we couldnt work out the dryer and lost four euros when a horrible man just pushed in and turned his own machine on. EVERYONE else was lovely in Cascais.
