Luxurious converted cottage for 2 plus 1 with use of owners heated Indoor Pool

This newly converted cottage is situated within the grounds of the owners property in a tucked away and private location in the peaceful hamlet of West Stoughton close to the ancient village of Wedmore and is surrounded by fields and rural views. The property has been completely rebuilt and now boasts exceptional accommodation. All on one level with wooden flooring and underfloor heating in the bathroom, it also has a cosy wood burner for those colder evenings and bi-folding doors opening up to the patio area with views of the garden. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and cyclists and nearby you can visit Wells with its fabulous Cathedral and Bishops Palace and of course Glastonbury Tor and Abbey. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need. You will be able to use the heated indoor swimming pool which is located behind the owners farmhouse. The pool can be used with prior arrangement with owners. The cottage can be booked together with our other larger (2 bedroomed) property on-site so that the whole family or group of friends can enjoy a private holiday together with a pool.

Lovely place

If you like to relax on holiday surrounded by beautiful grounds in the peaceful countryside, this is the place for you. The property is very clean and the kitchen is well-equipped. The furnishings and the decor are minimal and the TV quite small, but for a short stay, it was adequate. We loved the beautiful surroundings and the well-kept garden. The hosts were lovely and unintrusive. Guests have exclusive use of their private swimming pool (deep end 8ft) and swimming every day was the highlight of our stay. We were so lucky to find this beautiful farm. Tip: Bring lots of towels as only one small towel per person per stay is provided.

peaceful location

Online photograph doesn't do justice to this beautiful property in a lovely location. Property was spacious and comfortable. Swimming pool was a real bonus. Welcome from the owners was warm and very welcoming.

Great place for a stay, very comfortable and warm in a beautiful location . The owners are friendly and helpful and the indoor pool is a real plus. Highly recommended.

A perfect base for hiking

Great location for hiking. Close to Mendip hills, and if you dont mind driving to explore Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the Quantock hills. The property had everything we needed, well equipped with the added bonus of a inside heated pool. The pool is shared with the owners and one other cottage however we always used the pool privately and never had any issues. The owners were very courteous, thank you for a lovely holiday, just what we needed.

Wonderful stay

We had such a beautiful stay at the cottage! A mini babymoon for us that was relaxing and felt like luxury! The facilities were amazing, the pool was a perfect temperature - and only a stones throw away - the grounds were stunning and Kay was incredibly accommodating to any need. We’d love to come back as it was situated really well to local attractions and had everything you need for a comfy, homely but a very fancy-feel holiday. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ideal for exploring and visiting the main attractions

We were over the moon as we drove up to the cottage, set in an ideal location in beautifully kept grounds. The cottage was spotless and well laid out. All the information that Kay gave us about the local area was a great help, unfortunately the break finished too soon and we were sorry to leave. Highly recommended

Country Retreat

This is a wonderful, clean and spacious property with a modern touch, surrounded by beautiful gardens and access to an indoor pool. It was the perfect place to stay and explore Somerset but also a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A great way to recharge your batteries! Kay and Graeme were very welcoming and always available if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend a visit and wished we'd stayed longer. Hopefully we will be able to return for another visit. Thank you Kay and Graeme.

Amazing stay

Lovely weekend in this gorgeous modern cottage. Kay and Graeme were really friendly and welcoming and the location is amazing. The cottage has been renovated and furnished to a really high standard and sits in the beautiful gardens of the owners property. Highly recommend staying here.

A great relaxing weekend away

We booked this property over the weekend for our wedding anniversary and my husband and I were very pleased. The property met all the requirements for our stay and was very clean. The hosts were very kind and helpful, we were lucky enough to have the whole of the farm to ourselves for the weekend and it was so peaceful. The grounds are so beautiful, we enjoyed our breakfast and teas outside by the pond , it was a delight seeing the bunnies hopping around in the evening! We thoroughly enjoyed use of the indoor heated pool as well. We look forward to staying here again, thank you Kay and Graham.

Beautiful scenic cottage stay

Loved staying at this cottage as it is a cute little place and renovated really nicely, very modern. Thank you Kay for being so hospitable and for the fresh eggs on both days. Also I have allergies to dogs and they were so understanding about keeping the dogs away when needed so thank you for that. The only thing next time that would be helpful is if there was a microwave as it's a well renovated modern kitchen so a microwave would've made things easier. Me and my friends loved our little break so much we regretted not booking ahead for slightly longer. I have been on many little breaks at different cottages in the uk but really liked this one due to the cottage and also the surroundings around it are beautiful. We also had a fab time shopping at the nearby outlet village. The property also has beautiful scenery and green areas to chill out and relax in which we enjoyed alot as the weather was beautiful. Lovely Place to Stay

Robin and I were delighted all round with our stay at this cottage. Its in a quiet village not far from nearby Wedmore. The property Is open plan, high ceilings and was lovely and cool despite the hot weather. Spotlessly clean and well furnished with new, modern furniture. The bed was 6ft, super king, but on a zip and link if you wanted a twin and was very comfortable. The shower cubicle was large and the shower hot and powerful. Wireless internet worked well and the TV was adequate. Lovely wood burning stove for when it's colder. The cottage is next to the owners property with garden and shrubs between, there is a parking space right by the doors which are bi fold and opened fully, a joy in this recent hot weather. Beautiful grounds with rabbits bobbing about and chickens in their enclosure. The gift of fresh eggs was very welcome. We both enjoy cycling and we were pleased to be able to cycle directly from the property, with Somerset being hilly this was a bonus. Kay and Graeme were really helpful and made sure our stay was all we'd hoped for, use of their indoor pool was much appreciated. The local village has everything you need and several of the pubs we tried served excellent food and ale!! The cottage is indeed luxurious and we will be back there again before too long. A great find. Thank you x

Luxurious cottage, fantastic pool, relaxing holiday!

Stayed here with my husband and 1.5 yr old and LOVED IT. The cottage is done to an excellent standard; it has everything you'd expect plus more. The fireplace was cosy in the evenings and the underfloor heating and electric rad in the bathroom were a lovely touch. The pool is phenomenal and kept nice and warm. The grounds are beautiful and extensive. Our little one loved visiting the ducks and chickens every day in the garden. Kay and Graeme could not have been more accommodating, or thoughtful. Visited Noah's Ark Zoo not too far away, which made for an excellent family day out. Would certainly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful!

This is a great property. It is beautifully decorated, well equipped and located in a gorgeous setting. The gardens are immaculate and use of the indoor heated pool is a real bonus. We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage which has been finished and furnished to a high standard.

The cottage is situated in a quiet location yet very convenient to many local attractions. Cheddar Gorge and Wells Cathedral are only a few miles away. Kay was very flexible with check-in and check-out as suitable and was very helpful. Good to have the use of the owners heated swimming pool. We were able to get the most of what we required in the local village of Wedmore. A number of good restaurants nearby. Very convenient to Bristol Airport. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to anyone.

Lovely property, lovely location, lovely owners.

The cottage was larger than the photographs had lead me to believe, which was nice. It was beautifully decorated and furnished with all 'mod-cons' that you'd want. We were all very comfortable indeed. The owners are lovely people. They were very welcoming when we arrived, taking us on a quick walk around the grounds and explaining various things to us. Whenever we saw Kay or Graeme they asked if everything was OK but other than that they left us to our own devices. We knew we could have asked if we needed to. Using their indoor heated pool was a luxury. We used it every morning and had a thoroughly great time. The area was beautiful. We visited Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Weston-Super-Mare which were all in easy reach by car but there were lots of other interesting places nearby. All in all we had a relaxing week in a lovely cottage and met some very nice people. Thank you Kay and Graeme. We fully intend to visit again.

We had an excellent and relaxing holiday in a beautiful property in a beautiful setting.

The cottage was larger than I expected from the photographs and it was decorated and furnished to a very high standard, which meant we were very comfortable and spoilt for the week. The grounds of the owners house were also beautiful and we were allowed to stroll around the pond and see their chickens. Having use of the owners indoor heated pool was an absolute pleasure - we used it every morning and had a great time in there. It's very kind of Kay and Graeme to let their guests use it. Kay and Graeme (and their family) were so welcoming and helpful (but not intrusive) to us during our stay. They are lovely people. The location is perfect for exploring the area and close to Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Weston-Super-Mare. None of us wanted to leave and will certainly be visiting again.

superb accommodation and wonderful hosts - exceptional

This luxurious cottage really is quite wonderful. Set in a breath-taking plot and very well equipped with everything that one could need. The hosts were incredibly helpful during our stay too and put themselves out to help us, which was very much appreciated. I cannot recommend this place high enough!
