Cobble Cottage, a Cornish gem, lovingly furnished to a high standard. This delightful grade II listed Cottage, dates back to the 17th Century. Situated in the heart of Kilkhampton village, near Bude. Located just off the village square in a cobbled courtyard. Cobble Cottage is the ideal place for a family holiday, romantic escape or celebration. Our beautiful cottage offers you luxury and comfort and provides you with a relaxing break from the bustle of everyday life for a short holiday or longer. Superb features include; exposed beams, inglenook, stone fireplace with a wonderful wood burning stove (new in 2020), private enclosed garden with patio area, separate laundry room. Free high speed broadband wifi.

There are three bedrooms; ideal for a family of five. We have 2 travel cots (available by prior arrangement) that can go in the master bedroom (perfect for twins). Ideal cottage for people who love staying in a fully equipped high quality 'home from home', with the added advantage of being in a great self-contained village, with, butcher, food shops. Two great pubs (both serve food, one dog friendly. There is also a pizza/burger takeaway, Chinese takeaway all on the doorstep.

There are wonderful walks from the cottage. The seaside town of Bude, with its stunning beaches, is 5 miles away. Within a 4 mile drive, you’ll find the beautiful beaches, ‘Sandymouth’ and ‘Duckpool’. Both are National Trust and dog friendly. Padstow is approx. 30 miles away, Port Isaac 25 miles, while Barnstaple is 28 miles from the property.

Downstairs: The front door leads into the entrance hallway, which has two built in pine cupboards (useful for storing coats and shoes). The living room is comfortably furnished with large comfy sofas, Smart TV with Freeview HD and a DVD player. There is an attractive reclaimed brick floor, inglenook fireplace with a wonderful wood burning stove, and an old fashioned original feature bread oven. High quality kitchen/dining area with an attractive reclaimed brick floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric Neff oven, ceramic hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge. There is a separate utility room (outside down the path), with fitted units, sink area, freezer and a washer dryer.

Upstairs: Stairs lead up to the master bedroom with king-sized bed, a twin bedroom, single bedroom and family bathroom with over-bath shower and Bluetooth Audio system. There are exposed beams, high quality furniture, and cosy furnishings.

Our re-modelled secret garden. Located a short walk from the cottage (approx. 95 metres, 100 yards) down a private path. Please note, the summer-house is not currently for guests' use,
The garden is formed from one of the original strip fields. The path was originally used by the farmer taking his cows from the fields to the square on the way to market.

Cobble Cottage is open all year round with electric underfloor heating downstairs (and a wood burning stove in the sitting room), and electric heated radiators upstairs.

Kilkhampton is a conservation village with an interesting history and often features in the best kept village awards, there has been a village here for hundreds of years and the original strip field system can be seen along with tiny cottages hidden up narrow alleys.

Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, (the charge is £38 per dog per week). Please ensure dogs remain downstairs and off the furniture (sofas etc). Dogs must be supervised at all times and must never be left alone in the cottage.

Cobble cottage is available for weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks/longer stays are available out of peak season subject to availability. Please contact Sally for availability and prices (07595 292551).
