The winery loft was the perfect retreat for my husband and I. We enjoyed the view, driving around the area, and canoeing on the lake. It was peaceful and refreshing place.
Simple and Charming
Very simply, the property amenities are worth the stay. From the room or outside, there was always a great view and the only noise was an occasional car or goats across the field.
The pond was not crystal clear this week but swimming in a rural pond was not on our agenda. We did make use of their paddle boat. It was fun to see the turtles sunning themselves in the reeds and cattails. There were canoes, kayaks and a rowboat as well.
The deck, yard and patio had ample seating. The patio has a nice fire ring and two seater swing. There was a mention of trails to different wineries but I only saw a trail leading to their cabin across the pond which also allowed access to the watercraft.
The loft was very nice. With four guests we didn’t feel crowded. The large sliding glass windows were fun as it overlooked the tasting room and afforded a view of the pond. The bathroom was spacious and the kitchenette met most of our needs. If you are hoping for more than simple meals, you should expect to bring additional supplies. You may want to bring a cooler for ice for beverages.
We were busy away from the property during most of our stay and missed their open hours, so we were not able to enjoy the winery experience. We caught the end of the live music on Friday and it seemed the house was filled with folks enjoying the wine and their experience.
This vacation rental met our needs and we all enjoyed our stay. A couple small things came up which we were surprised by but did not negatively affect our stay. I would consider this property again next time we are in the area.
My family spent a week here for a family reunion nearby and absolutely loved it. The swimming pond was fabulous and very clean for a pond, the kids enjoyed jumping off the floating dock in the center and spent all kinds of time in the paddle boat. The loft is very comfortable and had excellent temperature control. Lori was just a text away and so friendly and helpful. We also really loved their wines! Specifically the King of the North, Boji Blue and Bonfire. It was a hit for our whole family and our cousins decided to book at the B&B in September to go to the Spencer Fair. Just a great experience all around.
Very nice place
We really loved the location. It is a beautiful property. Large comfortable loft space overlooking the pond. Only complaint would be about privacy. As others have noted, we were subjected to a guitar music sing along one night and a loud birthday party with a band on another night. There is virtually no separation between the loft and the wine tasting room below where the parties were held. Party guests can look up and see you in the loft. We are pretty laid back and took it instride, but if you really like privacy do not rent this loft.
Great place if you need something near this location or if you want a laid back place to relax. It is a winery so there may be events while you are there, we had no problem. The only down side is they have no cable for the tv, only Netflix. There is wi-filed so we just used our dish account to watch live tv.
