Please see the aerial video to appreciate the wonderful location of this home on a point of land where two wide canals intersect. You will feel like you have escaped to an island paradise surrounded by water as you enjoy the privacy of the expansive lanai and screened area (2100 sq ft/200 sq m) for casual dining, swimming and relaxing. The spectacular 40 foot salt water pool (12 m) with a sturdy handrail at the stairs and a beautiful view of the wide water on three sides of the home will refresh you while swimming a few lengths, playing in the water or just sitting and enjoying your favorite beverage. The outdoor under roof (lanai) itself is a large 655 sq ft (61 sq m) but more importantly, it is 24 ft deep (7 m) providing lots of protection from the sun. In addition, the see through outdoor power blinds can be lowered as needed to provide extra sun protection but not block your view. The comfortable custom patio furnishings will enhance your enjoyment whether dining or just lounging. Because of the wide panoramic view, we often see Osprey, Bald Eagles, Egrets, Little green herons, Ibis, Red Tailed Hawks and cardinals Burrowing owls live at the end of the street during season. There are mullet jumping high out of the water and we sometimes see Manatee and Jackfish.. The mangroves fringing Cape Coral are only one major block away making them easily accessible with our canoe.. Gentle breezes come in off the Gulf of Mexico most days. The underwater fish lights down at the dock provide an underwater view at night. It is great to go down there after dark and enjoy both the fish and the great nighttime skies. The bedroom has a few extra features for romance. We also have two new bikes and lots of bike lanes in the area. One guest even biked to the beach, 7 miles away.
You will quickly realize that this home is well above the standards set by most rental homes in Cape Coral. The half acre lot (750 sq metres) boasts 207 ft of shoreline (82 meters) with two docks that don't block your view and a large lawn at the back. In total the home has 6000 sq ft of enclosed space (550 sq m) including a two car spaces in the three car garage reserved for guests.
The interior of the home under air is 3000 sq ft home (280 sq m). It is located In a quiet neighborhood in the highly desirable South West area of Cape Coral on two wide Gulf Access canals. The canal to the south is three times wider than most Cape Coral canals. The general area is well established with modern homes. The home has an open floor plan with the master bedroom separate from the guest wing. The extra wide hallways and doorways, extra space in all living areas, comfort height toilets, walk in shower and grab bars make this beautiful custom built, three year old home the perfect place for a Florida vacation for all, especially those who might have some mobility problems. We are fragrance and chemically sensitive so our home is low in chemical irritants which is important for those with allergies and asthma. There is a whole house water filter system plus a reverse osmosis drinking water system in the kitchen. The lawn is chemical free so as to not pollute the water and yes, it is not a pristine weedfree lawn by Florida standards. The large screened lanai and cage means you can sit out in the evening with no fear of insects.
The billiards table in the games room will provide you with evening entertainment. Or the 60 inch flat screen ultra high definition LED television (152 cm) in the Great room may attract your attention. The Great Room has four very comfortable seats for TV viewing (a double power reclining leather couch and two leather swivel chairs with adjustable backs and foot rests) You won't want to leave home except to enjoy some of the nearby waterfront restaurants at Cape Harbour and Tarpon Point or to venture further to the beaches. The closest beach is at The Cape Coral Yacht Club seven miles (fifteen minutes) away. Wifi and free North American calling is included. The cable service includes premium sports and movie channels (HBO and Starz). There is also Netflix and a personal video recorder. There is a second TV in the master bedroom.
Overall the furnishings are high quality, sturdy and comfortable. Most pieces swivel and recline. It is an eclectic and interesting mix of old Florida and modern Florida.
The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with Drexel Heritage. It has a split king wireless adjustable bed to enhance your sleeping comfort. It would be considered a soft bed given the 3 inches of allergy free latex foam on top of the allergy free soya foam mattresses. The queen sized bed in the guest room has a pillow top mattress. The queen sized sleeper sofa in the games room has been upgraded with a new 4.5 inches thick Green Guard certified memory foam mattress which is both comfortable and low in chemical emissions . Both the guest bedroom and the games room have direct access to a large walk in closet and oversized bathroom. There is a small set of drawers and lots of shelves for clothes in the games room should someone be sleeping there.
The spacious upgraded kitchen has a quartzite counters (same cost as the highest level of granite) and cherry wood stained cabinets. It is fully equipped including all new stainless steel appliances, with an island that is great to work at while preparing those special meals. The raised bar comfortably sits 6. The bar stools are quite comfortable, sturdy, with arms and they swivel. There are lots of towels, linens and beach towels too. The spacious laundry room has new front loading machines and tons of counter space
The den is set up as a private office. There is a second desk in the games room. Both desks have good adjustable and swivel office chairs.
The separate bar area, not shown in the pictures, is well stocked with glasses.
There is plenty of room in the deep garage for loading your vehicle. There are three low rise steps to the door threshold. A portable ramp can be made available if required.
The quiet neighborhood is lovely and safe for walking to enjoy the Florida landscapes. By the way, the Google aerial views are a bit out of date in that the home next door was not complete. It is complete now and looks wonderful. Our lot is the corner lot with shoreline on both intersecting canals.
We have vacationed in Cape Coral for 16 years now and love the place. We searched for years to find the ideal lot and found it in 2010. In 2015 we completed this 3000 sq ft home (280 meters) incorporating all the features necessary for the most comfortable and luxurious vacation possible. We also built into it all the "aging in place" features we could think of. It is well above the standards of most rental homes because it was built for our private enjoyment. We believe you will very much enjoy your stay here.

We are retired Canadians who winter in Florida. We are both professionals, highly health conscious with a sensitivity to chemicals and pets. We favour peace and quiet, privacy, comfortable high quality furniture, a high end home entertainment unit, generous spaces and all the small things required for a wonderful vacation. We looked for years for the premium lot and finally found this almost half acre lot (twice the size of most lots in Cape Coral) on wide water intersecting canals in 2010. We spent years designing the ideal vacation home for ourselves and completed it in 2015. The Google aerial views were taken before the house next door was house was built. It is finished now and looks great.

Unseren zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt in dem großzügig angelegten und ansprechend eingerichteten Haus haben wir sehr genossen. Herausragend sind die Lage, die den ganzen Tag Sonne beschert und den Eindruck von Weite vermittelt, der Ausblick, den man schon vom Bett im Schlafzimmer aus genießen kann, sowie der tolle Pool und eine eindrucksvolle Soundanlage. Alles ist sehr praktisch und der Besitzer ist außerordentlich bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir freuen uns, dass wir hier unseren Weihnachtsurlaub verbringen konnten, und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen.
Beautiful Vacation Home
This home was beautiful, comfortable and felt like home. Owners are very accommodating. Home is located in a quiet community with a beautiful view of an intersecting canal from the wonderful pool area. Would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation in Cape Coral Florida, our favorite Florida community.

We had a wonderful time relaxing in this beautiful vacation home in Cape Coral. The view was spectacular. It was right on the canal ways. The pool area was so relaxing and private. We enjoyed many evenings just sitting by the water, and grilling in the lanai area. The house itself had many nice extras such as a whole house stereo system, filtered water system throughout the home, top of the line appliances, elegant lighting options, and much more.
While we were really looking for somewhere to escape and relax at, there were also plenty of activities to do in the area such as shopping, movies, restaurants, as well as popular tourist destinations like
Sanibel and Pine Isand day trips. Sanibel had beautiful beaches and was great for shell gathering, and Pine Isand was very close and good for fishing. The owners were a delight to
interact with. They were always available and willing to help with whatever we needed. We look forward to staying again sometime in the future!

"Heaven on water"
From the moment we arrived to this stunning vacation home, we felt as though we were at a private resort. The prompt response and cordial conversation by the owners to answer questions and plan this vacation is what helped us secure this as the property we wanted to visit. The owners have spared no expense in the luxuries provided by their home. From the moment you enter the front door, you are captivated by the beautiful pool and canal views. The home is spacious, comfortable, and provides all the amenities you could ask for. Everything from canoeing, biking, swimming, boating are available right onsite. Quiet, comfortable, safe neighborhood. Beaches, shopping, and dining are within minutes. Even though June is the beginning of the "rainy" season, you can sit next to the pool under the covered lanai, sip your coffee or wine, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Personally, this was a special family vacation and it did not disappoint. We look forward to staying at this property again in the future. We feel like family now! Wonderful hosts, wonderful home, wonderful area. Vacations are what you make them, and you can't go wrong here!
Thank you for being a wonderful guest and providing this very thoughtful and thorough review. I suspected you failed to mention the day your elderly mother spent in the hospital so as to keep the review upbeat. But I know you were especially pleased with the Lee Memorial Hospital which is about 25 minutes from our home. Health care is important when one travels and Cape Coral has excellent and accessible health care. An Urgent Care Clinic is located about five minutes from our home. One can see a doctor there the same day the appointment is made. Hope your mother continues her recovery.
We have two new bikes and one older bike with lots of bike lanes in the area. You can bike to restaurants close by or even to the beach which is seven miles. We also have a canoe and mangroves to explore close by. Underwater fish lights at the dock attract the fish at night for fun watching. There is one fishing pole and lots of fish in the water. You see them jumping all the time! There is a salt water fishing charter captain down the canal.

The rates are based on two guests. Each additional extra guest is $8 per night Additional electricity charges more than $25.00 per week (210 kwh) will be deducted from the security deposit at a rate of $0.15 per KWH. Please launder all towels on the day before you leave . The cleaning staff will launder all bedding and towels from the last day of your stay. Bookings for Thanksgiving and Christmas require a 30% non-refundable deposit within 7 days of confirmation
