🤍 Our Story

Before Amari Villa, we worked in travel and were lucky to have many clients who returned to Kefalonia year after year. One of them, Keith, kept telling us we had to visit the island ourselves — to see firsthand what made people fall in love with it and keep coming back.

On our very first visit in 2003, we understood immediately. We fell for the island’s natural beauty, its sense of calm, and, above all, the warmth of the people. Not long after, we bought the land where Amari Villa now stands.

We began building the villa in 2008 and completed it in 2010, creating a place that reflected everything we loved about Kefalonia — space, privacy, light, and a feeling of ease. Amari Villa has since become our own retreat whenever our busy lives allow.

Opening our home to guests felt like a natural extension of that journey. We hope that those who stay here experience the island as we do — and perhaps fall in love with Kefalonia just as deeply.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of southern Kefalonia, Amari Villa sits on the edge of the charming village of Spartia — offering the kind of seclusion and space that’s increasingly rare.

From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by sweeping views across the Ionian Sea, stretching all the way to the island of Zante. Life slows naturally here. Days unfold at an easy pace, shaped by swims in the pool, gentle walks to the beach, and long, unhurried evenings.

We chose this area because it offers the best of both worlds: unspoilt natural beauty with easy access to the island’s highlights. Just a short stroll from the villa are two of our favourite beaches. Spartia Beach is ideal for families, with shallow, crystal-clear water and a relaxed beach taverna. Thermanti Beach, reached on foot, is quieter and more hidden — perfect for early-morning swims or peaceful afternoons with a book.

For those who enjoy exploring, the nearby rocky headlands are excellent for snorkelling, while the coastline offers countless little corners to discover. Spartia village itself has a wonderfully local feel, with friendly faces, traditional tavernas, and simple dishes that taste exactly as they should.

Despite the calm setting, you’re only around 15 minutes from Argostoli and Kefalonia International Airport, making both arrival and island exploring refreshingly easy.

This is a place that invites you to live well — whether you’re travelling as a family, bringing generations together, or simply enjoying the rare luxury of space, views, and time.
