Stunning vistas!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the cabin to be pleasantly surprised! The listing was nice, but the cabin beautiful! It is nicely appointed with a cute kitchen, bedroom, and bath. The location makes this one a star however. The view off the deck gives you a front row seat of one of Montana's most splendid mountain vistas. You can sit on the deck as night falls and listen to the sounds of the valley while watching Emigrant Peak slip into the quiet of night. Elise (the owner) is the perfect host and can answer any questions about the regions offerings. She is available nearby, but gives you all the privacy you need. We enjoyed several days fishing the Yellowstone which is less that a mile away. And if you don't want to cook,... Livingston is close by and offers many delicious dining offerings. Lots of wild beauty surround this perfect base camp. Book's worth it!

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure meeting you both. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin and had the opportunity to eat at the locally owned restaurants! I would enjoy hosting you both again if you happen this way in the future.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights at the Cabin. The whole cabin is very nice and welcoming; we felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable; we got 3 nights of good sleeping! The decorating was just right. I loved opening all the mini blinds and looking out at the mountains while I was getting my coffee and breakfast ready. Elise is a wonderful to work with and full of information. We had a great conversation with her when we first arrived. The kitchen had everything that I needed: it could have used a spatula :) but I got by without it! The evenings were very cool so I didn't get to sit out on the porch like I had planned. The first night was the only clear sky night and we saw the tons of stars!! And yes, the drive from the main road to the cabin (1 1/2 mi-2 miles?) is very rough but it's worth it. Take your time and go slow!

Beautiful views from all angles!

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was an amazing trip! So close to yellowstone, livingston and even bozeman wasnt that far of a drive. Waking up and drinking coffee taking in the mountains was breathtaking. Elise was very informative about the area and especially yellowstone. Unfortunately it snowed in the park quite a bit when we went ao we werent able to see as much of the park as we would have liked but it was still a great trip.

The road into the cabin was a bit bumpy, and the bed could have been a bit softer. But overall we really enjoyed ourselves! Much better than staying at a hotel where we wouldnt have even been able to see the mountains.

This cabin made our first trip to Montana a memorable one!

Great experience and stay. Elise is very friendly and accommodating to her guests. Close to the park and plenty of great fishing. I'd definitely stay here again. Only thing that is a negative is the front door jam. Otherwise, magnifico

The property was PERFECT!!

  • 5 of 5

From the time we pulled up to the time we left, our stay was AMAZING! Elise put so much time and thought into every detail of this property. We didn't have to worry about getting anything but food for us to eat for the week. She greeted us upon arrival and helped us plan our trip into Yellowstone that made it very memorable. We will keep Elise in mind if we come back to Montana and have already recommended her to our friends.

Beautiful Place in a Beautiful Place

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, well appointed place on an absolutely gorgeous property--and Elise could not be more generous with her time and expertise about Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

It was the perfect stop-over for us to end our drive from Glacier Park and get ready for a few days in Yellowstone. A great porch for sunsets and star-gazing. One night (or more) here and you'll know why they call it "Paradise Valley."

About Elise

Montana has been my home for the past 20 years. I came here from a big city to work a summer job in Yellowstone Nat'l Park. I soon became a Yellowstone Park Tour Guide and spent the next 10 years living and working in the Park both Summer and Winter. Since 2007 I have worked at a local 4-star guest ranch that offered exclusive Yellowstone Park tours to their guests. During this time I met my husband James who is now retired from his cleaning business. Together we bring a wealth of experience in hospitality and Montana knowledge (especially Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Fishing & Hiking) to help you have the best & most enjoyable experience during your stay in Montana. We are available to help you choose the best adventures during your stay and answer questions you have.

Elise purchased this cabin in 2016

Why Elise chose Livingston

This is our second year hosting this newly built cabin. We have had nearly 100 guests that have given us top 5-star ratings on popular hosting websites like this one. My background is in hospitality at local 5-star guest Ranches and Tour Guiding in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. This cabin was inspired by my joy sharing this amazing landscape and the Yellowstone Experience.

What makes this cabin unique

What could be better than to have a Host who is also a Yellowstone Tour Guide? If you have questions about what activities to do, best hikes in or outside the Park, fishing areas . . . etc. I am available and full of knowledge to share.
