About David Walker
Moved to Scottsville to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country life with the conveniences of town only 10 minutes in either direction (10 miles from I-65). We're just West of Scottsville, Ky., East of Bowling green, Ky. (home to Western Kentucky University), and North of Nashville. My wife and I are Spanish Interpreters, great location if you speak Spanish (si se habla Espanol) or if you want a weekend of immersion training! The cabin is close to the Corvette Museum, :40 minutes from Mammoth Cave and Cave City, :45 minutes from Nashville. In addition, Western Kentucky Univ boasts a beautiful campus with plenty of events to choose from, USA Football Conference Champs and a fantastic Lady Topper Basketball Team! Come and stay with us for family day(s) or key family events on campus or in the community; holidays, extended weekends, special events, or just to get away. Try our farm fresh eggs and a Venezuelan style breakfast as part of your stay, you may not want to leave.

We needed a quiet place to rejuvenate and found it here. We unplugged and downloaded. The peace and quiet were wonderful. Stars and lighting bugs were beautiful. Our host were there if they were needed. The cottage was just as expected (clean and comfortable). The large screen porch was our favorite. The traditional Saturday breakfast was a nice treat and delicious. If you are looking for a quit out of the way place (close to amenities) this is your place. We did not avail ourselves of the trails and live stock but for city folks this is another plus for the property.
We had a short stay but it was very enjoyable. If you are looking to leave the stressful grind of everyday life this is the place to come! Quiet but close to town. Bonfires, animals, trails. Everything to make a great retreat!
Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the screened in porch listening to nature at night.
Great way to end our trip
Thank you for welcoming us to your property and making us feel welcome. My kids loved the animals, especially the cats, and the cave. Thanks for the excellent breakfast as well, everyone loved it. The cabin was awesome and we hope we can come back in the winter or next summer. Thanks for everything!
We loved staying at this place. The owners were right there nearby im case we needed anything. Breakfast was a treat each morning, especially the coffee. We would love to go back for a short getaway. Next time, we're going to explore the creek and cave. The farm animals were so sweet and would let you love on them.
Casual and Quiet Cabin with Wonderful Food and People
The cabin is a cozy space with a great outdoor screened porch for enjoying the sounds of nature. We spent 3 days exploring Kentucky and Tennessee from this cabin. The quiet mornings with coffee and a light breakfast was a great way to start a day of exploration and the end of the day brought us back for dinner and relaxation on the porch.
