Hevedic Wood has many paths leading to the Blavet river and the small town of Quistinic can be reached this way if you do not wish to drive. A cycle/footpath runs beside the river passing through towns and hamlets to the coast in one direction or Pontivy in the other. This area is perfect for mountain biking, road cycling, trail running, kayaking and walking. Poul Fetan, the 16th Century Village of French Culture is 5 minutes walk away and makes for a perfect day out with costumed hosts reinacting life here in the past and a tavern selling local ciders and beers and Breton meals.
The ground floor is open plan and the lounge centres around a huge Breton fireplace with wood burning stove and vaulted ceiling showing beautiful beams.
