The Trulli "THE PLACES OF THE SUN" are immersed in the lush greenery of the park of the Olive Trees of the Murgia Salentina, a few kilometers from the inhabited centers of Latiano, San Michele Salentino, San Vito dei Normanni, Ostuni and the beautiful beaches of Torre Guaceto. The apartment "L 'ULIVO" is one of the two of the complex "I Luoghi of the Sun" and is designed for a maximum of 6 guests.
The whole trullo complex consists of two living areas (2 apartments), with individual entrance from the outside. Each room can accommodate up to 6 people. The historical complex:
The historical structure was born in the '800 at the time of the olive plant (over 120 years ago), was restored from 2016 to 2017 and has 7 authentic cones of which 3 of the Saracen (Arab) type to which internally was left exposed stone as it was in the beginning. The addition of two lamiae on the west back has made it possible to integrate the functional complex that divides into two rather similar apartments. The lamias are divided by a common courtyard or solarium and two private shaded courtyards for relaxation in moments of greatest insolation. There is a large swimming pool of 12.00x 6.00 that is exclusive to those who book the entire villa, or alternatively is shared when the apartments are occupied by several families. The lamie (volumes that contain the bedrooms) in addition sign the Pugliese array of the complex without detracting from the charm of the time, on a large plot of about 10,000 square meters overlooking the rooms of the structure. Torre Guaceto is a Marine Nature Reserve with breathtaking beaches which is about 20min on the Adriatic Sea.
Lido Specchiola 20min. Torre Santa Sabina 25 min. Punta Prosciuto with the Caribbean beaches on the Ionian Sea, is only 30 min.
City:
Lecce with its splendid Baroque Palaces is 1h, Brindisi 20min, Taranto with its wonderful archaeological museum and the historic center, 40mi; Bari is 1h 10 min, so you can visit the historic city and the crypt of San Nicola. Gallipoli about 1h with its beautiful old town and castle.
Castelli Svevi:
Within a radius of about 10-16km you can visit the historic centers of Ostuni the white city, Ceglie Messapica, Carovigno, San Vito dei Normani, Oria, Messagne, Francavilla Fontana, all with a Swabian castle of about 1200. A little further to 25km from the Trullo rises Alberobello, the city of trulli Unesco heritage. At 20 km another white town Locorotondo, built on a ridge of rock with breathtaking views of the velle dei trulli.
