Great View

  • 5 of 5

Loved waking up to the gorgeous view. The cabin was nice and cozy and had everything we needed. Not to far of a drive to many of the ski areas.

Great place for skiing

  • 5 of 5

Stayed over Thanksgiving. The place is just outside of town, far enough to get you away from the crowds, but close enough where it takes just 5 minutes to get to the grocery, etc. It's up on the side of a mountain, so great views. You are at roughly 9100 ft, so beware of altitude sickness. They do have a number you can call for an oxygen service if you need it.

The place itself is comfortable. Plenty of sleeping space. The fireplace was great to dry wet ski clothes.

There is a very responsive management company. We arrived around 5pm with about 6 inches of fresh snowfall and it was dark. I retrieved the key from the lockbox but dropped it between the gap between the porch deckboards, just out of reach. It was cold and I was worried. I called the management company, they directed me to another emergency keybox and we were able to get the place within minutes. They turned around a minor disaster in just a couple minutes. Great job.

Loved the stay, would stay again.

The cabin was charming, the view beautiful BUT

  • 3 of 5

We felt there were simple things that should be addressed before being rented again. The screen door would come off the tracks every time we tried to use it. We bought WD40 and resolved the issue. Two windows in the bedroom on the main level did not have window shades & the third window when I went to pull down the shade it fell off onto the floor.

The Kitchen: The can opener did not work at all. There were only 2 kitchen towels & nothing to use to wash dishes by hand or wipe off the table. The coffee maker did not have a lid, therefore coffee got cold very quickly. There should be type written instructions on how to manage the TV & WiFi. Took too long to stumble through & figure out. One of the electrical plug ins was defective & we had to disconnect completely.

The wreath above the fireplace was COVERED with cobwebs. (nasty)

I called the management phone # twice one day & left a voicemail both times= No reply. Called a couple days later caught him while he was busy & never heard back from him.

Summary: Cabin & View were great. Definitely needs better care.

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The drive up to the cabin was breathtaking. I saw a fox, bald eagle and deer. The cabin is perfect for a small group with plenty of space to spread out. Coffee from the front porch in the morning looking at the snow covered peaks was the perfect start to the day.
