Perfect base to explore Brac and beyond. A studio apartment (sleeps two) with stunning sea views and a balcony. Air conditioning unit is provided. 7 min walk to beautiful beaches. 1 min walk to supermarket. 10 min walk to cafes, restaurants and harbour. Short ferry ride to Split. Perfect base for swimming and snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. And it's sunny 300 days a year!

This spacious, modern studio apartment makes a perfect base from which to enjoy the beauty of Croatia's coast. The balcony and windows afford fabulous views of the sea, the mountains and the spectacular sunsets. The apartment sits on the hillside above the historic fishing village of Postira on the island of Brac.

The apartment is air conditioned with a large, comfortable queen-sized bed, wardrobe, drawers, and mirrors. Views from the balcony look out across the sea to the mountains, while on the other side you can see Postira harbour and the old town. A spacious bathroom has a walk in shower, lighted mirror unit over the sink and wc. The large kitchen diner is exceptionally well equipped with a beautiful fitted kitchen, dish washer, oven, hob, fridge with freezer and all the equipment you could need. Wifi is available and included in the price.

The dining room opens onto a balcony with fabulous views across the sea to Omiš and Split on the mainland and the mountains behind.

The local supermarket has everything you may need. There are a range of shops in Postira itself and more in the port of Supetar about 15 minutes by bus / car. There are a number of fabulous restaurants and cafes in Postira and nearby. Freshly caught local fish is a particular speciality, as are delicately seasoned meats cooked in a wood burning oven. The pizzas are also excellent! There are several cashpoints in Postira itself, and banks in Supetar. Mobile coverage is excellent too.

The port of Split is an hour's ferry ride from Postira, and Split Airport is about 20 minutes bus ride from there. It's an easy journey by public transport with a bus meeting each flight and taking you direct to the port. A short bus or taxi ride then brings you to Postira. Cars and scooters can be hired at the airport, in Split or on the Island of Brac itself.

Toller Blick über Adria

Vermieter waren einfach nur super toll und sowas von zuvorkommend. Ein rundum perfekter Urlaub in diesem Objekt. Vermieter waren sehr hilfsbereit bei jeglicher Art von Problemen oder Fragen und boten ihre Hilfe zu jeder Zeit an. Sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, die top sauber war und sogar der Kühlschrank enthielt für den ersten Tag Getränke. Selbst die beiden Badezimmer hatten Flüssigseife zum Hände waschen. Für mich und meine bessere Hälfte der bisher gelungenste Kroatienaufenthalt mit den bisher zuvorkommensten, freundlichesten und hilfsbereitesten Vermietern. Ein Grund mehr (auch der Ort und Umgebung selbst) diese Wohnung mit diesen Vermietern nochmals zu wählen. Kurz gesagt, ein perfekter erholsamer toller Urlaub ohne Probleme. Gerne wieder, vielleicht schon im nächsten Jahr wieder.

The owner was born in Croatia and has spent most summers indeed at the island of Brac. Finally in 2008 he bought the newly built apartments so that he can keep coming back to the place he loves most. He heads a research institution and travels a lot for business - Europe, Asia and Africa are the parts of the world he has professionally covered. He's also socially engaged in citizen's advocacy and has many hobbies that include diving, swimming, biking and marathon running (as well as a NAUI scuba divemaster). Brac is an ideal location for all these activities. He studied in the UK, USA and Austria.

Why they chose this property

Postira has everything we could want from a holiday. Beautiful beaches, fabulous swimming, great walks, and lovely food. The people are friendly, the town itself is quieter, but with a nice atmosphere. And the sun always seems to shine!

Placed in the authentic and unspoiled Mediterranean environment, amidst one of the richest archipelago in the world, the pristine and clam sea.

Postira was first mentioned in the 14th century. It is a little Mediterranean town located on the northern side of the island Brač, 8 kilometers from the island's port of Supetar. Coming out from the clear blue of the Adriatic, Postira climbs up the hill to embrace the centuries old olive fields and confluence of pine forests and vines as it descends back into the fertile valley of vineyards and tangerines. A wonderful mix of amazing nature as well as history and culture and gastronomy pleasures.

What makes this property unique

There are so many things we love about our apartments it's difficult to know where to start. The views are stunning, the windows spectacular, the kitchen diners are better equipped and more spacious than most homes. The showers are lovely and powerful, the beds comfortable, the location perfect for the beaches and also for popping to get your bread from the supermarket in the morning. And it's just hard to beat sipping a cool drink on the balcony on a summer's evening watching the sunset!
