About the host

Host profile image
I came to Wyoming in the late seventies to become a ski bum in Jackson Hole. Good fun!
However, I soon found myself penniless. Yes, entirely without money. Next thing you know, I found a career surveying in the Rockies and the Arctic. It soon became Alaska for nine months a year and Dubois for three months. The rest is history, 44 years later and I'm almost a local.

What makes this property unique

Fly fishing the Wind River 12 months a year!!! Great location for days trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Day hikes in Badlands or Shoshone National Forest. On any given day, there is the potential to see moose, bear, elk, deer or even a mountain lion from the kitchen window. Blue Heron, Sandhill Cranes, Osprey and Geese nest on the property each spring.
