I loved my stay so much I bought the casa - it's genuinely close to the sea!

Casa do Monte is a Fisherman’s Cottage, only a few feet away from the sea. Perfect if you want to roll out of bed and go for an early morning swim!

Casa do Monte is a traditional Portuguese townhouse, very well situated in Luz right in front of the sea.

It was previously let out by the previous owners, I was fortunate enough to be offered the chance to buy it. My family and I have decided that it's too nice to keep to ourselves and have decided to let it, so you can enjoy it.

The large balcony off the main bedroom allows you to watch the fishing boats as you eat your breakfast.
The other bedroom has 2 single beds, one of which is a mezzanine bed. This bedroom has air-conditioning.

The house also has a ground floor garden, with BBQ, another outdoor table and chairs, tucked away from the general public with some views of the sea. Its not large but perfectly big enough for a family of four.

The house has an open-plan lounge and kitchen with patio doors out onto the ground floor garden. There is seating for four inside. The kitchen is well equipped with a regular sized fridge and freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine, kettle, etc…The bathroom has a shower, but no bath. The house was built in the 1960's and gives a feel of the original village, it is not a modern apartment.................

The cottage Wifi is fibre - speeds are 200mbps download/100mbps upload, the router is also new with support for both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz so modern devices with a HD TV box with 200 channels with many international channels English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Indian, Brazilian, Russian, Chinese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Dutch, ...

Only a few steps away from Prainha beach, sometimes described as Praia da Luz’s ‘secret’ beach. Praia da Luz has one long beautiful beach about 5 minutes’ walk along the front from the cottage. However, west of the fort are a series of what are called secret beaches – tidal beaches. One Is literally directly in front of the cottage and there is another half dozen within a 100m - along the rocky coast – ideal for crabbing and great exercise walking along. If you had further west across the rocks there are some great spot and coves to sit and watch the world go by in.

Restaurants, banks, pubs, shops, supermarkets and the village’s historic church are all nearby.
