This waterfront 2 bedroom self catering accommodation is on 2 levels with magnificent views over Portree Harbour. A spacious sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, one large double bedroom and one single. Centrally located and well placed for touring Skye, and the west coast. Castles, distilleries and boat trips are amongst the many attractions. Shops and amenities are within a 2 minute walk. Central heating, bed linen, towels included. Free WIFI, TV, DVD, 4 burner hob, oven, washing machine and clothes horse.

Ideal location

This property was an ideal location from which to explore Skye. The property was basic, but very clean and exactly as shown in the listing. It was a very short walk to restaurants, grocery store and shops in Portree.

Easy check in process, property owner was very helpful, place was clean and right in the middle of town. Parking is a bit hard to find an empty space

Everything was great except the pillows and blankets had so much detergent or fabric softer on them that it left me sneezing from the strong sent. Not a bad sent, just way too strong that I couldn’t sleep until I threw a towel over the pillow. Such a trivial issue for an otherwise great property.

Noisy

Flat is above a restaurant and chip shop, was noisy. Bed very hard, bathroom not on same floor as bedroom, but the view is lovely and host very nice

Thanks for your remarks Debbie. I am very disappointed in your review. After 2 years and almost 200 bookings, you are the first person to complain about noise. In fact many guests said how quiet it was despite there being a restaurant below. There is no chip shop under my home. It is next to the restaurant but not under my home. The bed is hard. That’s a personal choice. I try to keep it in the middle. This is our second bed complaint in 2 years. The last person said it was too soft. Yes the bathroom is downstairs. The home was built in the 1800’s and that’s where it is. It’s good exercise to go up and down the steps. Keeps you young and fit. I am not sure you will continue to classify me as nice. But I hope you do. David

Perfect location, great host

David is an amazing host. Our car rental fell through 2 weeks before our trip and David was very helpful in getting us transportation. The house is right on the harbor and has the most amazing views! It is a great home base for your time on Skye! We loved our time in Skye and David’s flat is one or the reasons! FYI - make sure to book dinner reservations before you go, most everything (even the pubs besides the Isles Inn) require a reservation.
