Stoirm is a new, modern style, wooden cottage superbly located on the
Isle of Skye, 3 miles from Portree village, in the quiet township of
Penifiler, a rural crofting community. Guests will experience; the beauty
and calmness of this tranquil hideway and also the bustling atmosphere of
Portree's shops, restaurants and bars just 5 minutes drive away.
Guests can relax and enjoy panoramic views of the Cuillins, Portree Bay
and the Old Man of Storr. The cottage has an open plan, spacious kitchen,
living and dining area with 2 bedrooms, featuring king size beds, en suites
and high speed/unlimited WiFi.

Stoirm was an amazing house in a perfect location with wonderful views. It had everything we needed & was in a very peaceful location but a close drive to sights & shopping. We would definitely stay again & recommend to other guests.

This was the perfect place to stay in Skye!! We were located a short drive away from Portree and enjoyed the stunning views of the water and town from afar and beautiful living space. I was traveling with my parents and they especially enjoyed the board games and puzzles available for rainy days and the lovely kitchen. It was everything we needed for our trip and more!

Wonderful place to stay

It was a beautiful location, everything you could need in a kitchen to cook some quick meals. The beds were comfortable and the deck was lovely!

"Beautiful stoirm"Serene, modern and beautiful, this hideaway was amazing. In addition to being super clean it was nicely equipped and thoughtfully furnished along with many amenities for a comfortable stay. Aisling was our host and was helpful and timely with her communication. We felt very welcome.It is about a 7-10 minute drive from town and the quiet and semi-remote location had an incredible view of the town from across Loch Portree.The beds and adjoining en suites were comfortable and roomy. I would highly recommend storim as an excellent choice for 2-4 people.This would be my first choice if and when we returned to the Isle of Skye.

Our stay here was perfectly timed in the middle of our trip, giving us the peaceful place to rest and recharge...not to mention wash clothes. It's modern with all amenities, beautiful and with tremendous views. All we would add would be a couple of hammocks and it would be perfect. Thank you for sharing it with us!

A perfect haven at Stoirm

Stoirm is a lovely home - well designed, immaculately clean, and furnished with everything one could need. It is located across the loch from Portree, with a beautiful view away from the tourist crowds. Aisling and David describe it perfectly on the VRBO website and in their introductory guide to Stoirm and the area.
A quiet evening watching the squalls pass by.

Amazing stay in Skye

We adored Stoirm! Sitting in the living room or on the patio and taking in the spectacular views is a memory that will stick with me. The house is cozy and extremely functional, had everything we needed, and everyone slept great. The setting is very quiet and tranquil, yet just a short drive from Portree (and Sligachan, Trottenish, etc). We saw deer, heard beautiful birdsong and lambs bleating, and watched the sun set over the bay. Highly recommended and we would love to come back again!

Excellent home away from home in Skye

This beautifully situated and appointed property made a delightful 3 night stay. Perfect instructions and communication from the owners and everything you could need in the kitchen and laundry room. Would love to come back some day.

Fantastic Stay

We would highly recommend a stay at Stoirm. We had an amazing 4 day break, the views are amazing looking over the bay to Portree. The house is absolutely beautiful and so well equipped. It was so peaceful, the perfect place if you want to go for a relaxing break. Will definitely be returning.

Perfect stay!

Stoirm was the perfect home for our visit to Isle of Skye, and the MacLeods were great hosts. Everything is as shown in the photos and better, and one small issue with the dryer was handled quickly. The views across the bay to Portree are amazing. It was our favorite we stayed during our 2 week vacation to Scotland. We will be back!

Excellent across the board

Sky in the wonderful sunshine was fabulous.... but this property put the icing on our cake. The views from the sun deck were first class, the house & amenities everything you could need. I'd certainly consider a repeat visit.

Lovely place and perfect location

Outstanding view and great location if you are planning to explore Skye. Space is super conformance and very clean. Owners are in every detail and they even left a welcome “something” for us. Place is exactly as shown in picture and sunsets are the best part. The rent process was super smooth and excellent communication. If you are looking for an amazing stay in Skye… look no more. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing stay

Our family had an amazing stay at Stoirm. The house is modern and beautifully designed with plenty of sunlight and spectacular views of Isle of Skye. There was more than enough space for 4 people, the amenities were complete, all the basic necessities you needed for the stay was provided. We loved that the hosts even provided us with complimentary wine and sweet treats. We always looked forward to coming home at the end of the day after our hikes and sightseeing. The location was also perfect, very close to Portree. The hosts also gave us a detailed packet on instructions for check in, check out and all the amenities in the house. This place is a gem and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye. Thank you David and Aisling.

Skye at its best! Making memories that count.

This property is the perfect location and was extremely beautiful. Stoirm surpassed all of our expectations. Imagine sitting on the back deck with a clear view of Portree across the harbor and Old Man Storr in the distance, but no doubt to the rock formation. Dunvegan is about 35 minutes away, and Kilt Rock was about the same. This home is just lovely, modern and beautifully appointed. There is a full size washer/dryer, which was handy as we were already 8 days into our trip to Scotland, the 3rd city we had stayed in so far. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We had 4 of the best nights of our 12 day vaca. Thanks to our hosts who provided the perfect location for us to make memories that will always be etched in our hearts.

Perfect place for relaxation and exploration

We loved this place. Our group of four was made up of two adult couples, and it was the perfect set-up for us. The view out the living room is world class, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and comfortable. The hosts were great. They created a professional flyer (one of them must be a graphic artist) with all the information we needed. It including information about the house, and ideas for how to spend our time on Skye. David was highly responsive to emails. I asked a few questions and he got back to me very very quickly. It was appreciated. The house is the country side across he bay from Portree, so the view is wonderful. It's about an 8 minute drive to town. It's about 25 minutes to Old Man Storr, if you want to do that classic hike. Everyone in our group gives this five stars and recommends it to anyone interested in spending some time on Skye.
