About Nicole Burks
My husband Brandon and I were both born and raised in TN and have been coming to the Mountains since we were both small children. Vacationing in East TN was like a second home to us and when we had our two children, 5 and 8 now, we wanted to share that same experience with them. Our family loves spending time together and when we have the opportunity to head East, we love packing up and heading to the Cabin. 'Smokies Escape' is the 3rd Cabin in the "Escape Family" and this one is very special to us. It is shared with life-long friends of ours Andre and Jill and we all look forward to sharing our beautiful Cabin with guests. We hope you create some great Smoky Mountain memories of your own!
Nicole Burks purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Nicole Burks chose Sevierville
From the moment we entered the gated community of Bear Creek Crossing Resort, we just knew this was the place for us to purchase a Cabin. The resort offered security and so many of the amenities we were looking for as a Family, and what we hoped our guests would enjoy also. 'Smokies Escape' is located just 3 miles from the main parkway, which makes it so convenient to shopping, dining and all the activities that Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Mountains have to offer. We feel it's location and beautiful mountain views are some of it's best features.
What makes this Cabin unique
When I think about being on vacation either as an Owner or a Guest, I want to feel right at Home. Smokies Escape is a gorgeous rustic-chic Cabin that has beautiful mountain and wooded views from the very private back deck. You are greeted by a beautiful wrap around front porch, a gorgeous swing and plenty of rockers to sit in with your morning coffee. The Cabin provides all the comforts of Home with its beautiful decor, flat screen TVs all with Directv HD, and all the upstairs loft entertainment you could ask for. Enjoy the outdoor pool during the summer months or take advantage of the indoor heated pool on those cold or rainy days. At 'Smokies Escape' you'll feel tucked away with mountain views, but you'll be just 3 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge. We hope you enjoy all the amenities Bear Creek Crossing Resort has to offer and create some wonderful memories for your Family!

The property is clean and the location is great! Close enough to everything but tucked away!
We had a good experience and great communication from the owner. A couple of things we found were the walls are thin and you can hear everything! The kids stayed in the loft and every time they moved it was loud in the bedrooms. There are two bathrooms but they are in the two bedrooms so when a kiddo needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night they had to wake up the bedroom occupants. And although the kitchen has most things you need it is minimally stocked. The only extras were salt and pepper. We've stayed in cabins where a few starter coffee pods, some spices and more were available which was a nice feature. And for a cabin that sleeps 10 there were only 8 towels/wash cloths and a couple hand towels. Luckily there were only 8 of us and we were only there a couple of days. We just had to keep drying them from hot tub use and showers.
Hi Jennifer, we're glad you all enjoyed the cabin and had a great time! Just a few things to note in the review. It is a cabin made of wood, and not a home of drywall and insulation. So sound will travel more in a cabin. :) Secondly, the reason we do not provide spices is in the best interest of our guests. Spices and pantry items can expire, therefore it is not good to keep those items on hand and everyone has a specific coffe they like which is why we provide a keurig. And lastly, in the upon arrival instructions, it was noted for you all to bring pool towels from home. You only stayed two days and ran through towels using them for pool and hottub use. We greatly appreicate you staying with us and glad you all loved the cabin so much! Thanks again, Nicole
Very cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again. Owner was very responsive to my questions while we were there. Great vacation!
Hi Brooke, we love working with guests and we appreciate you choosing to book with us. We look forward to your return next time! Nicole
Beautifully decorated, clean, roads not too steep
We stayed at Smokies Escape with our church youth group. Ten of us were very comfortable. Needed extra sheets and towels and got them right away - no problems!
The cabin is in a subdivision so neighbors are close and there's no real view but that's a reasonable trade off for roads that were not too steep and it being so close to all the attractions.
The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.
The only problem we had could not be helped - the two bathrooms are only accessible through the bedrooms. We had kids sleeping in the loft who liked to stay up late but they had to go through someone's bedroom (who was already asleep) to use the bathroom. That's probably only a problem if you're a group as opposed to a family.
We had a great trip and I would recommend this cabin!
Hi Melissa, we appreciate you taking the time to write a review on our Cabin Smokies Escape. We're glad we could accommodate your larger youth group of 10 guests. The cabin is of course a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom as described so you would have to use the two bathrooms provided. We love the location of this cabin and the easy accessibility of the roads and location to town. We're glad it provided everything for your groups' stay! Nicole
Cabin of dreams
my family and I stayed in this cabin and it was a very good time, everything was clean and with a good smell, we had help from the owners and the place is fantastic.
Hi Leo, thank you for taking the time do write such a nice reveiw on our cabin. Your family was so sweet to work with and we hope you'll stay another time! Nicole
Nice resort away from the hustle and bustle
We picked this cabin for a winter stay with our teenage granddaughters and friends (eight people in all--six kids) because of its access to a heated pool. It's located in a gated resort community that has lots and lots of cabins, but is a few miles out in the country. The cabin was nice and well-supplied. It was a drive down the mountain rather than a walk to the pool, but there was plenty of parking. The temperature for most of our stay was in the teens, so the girls ended up spending more time in the hot tub than in the pool, but if the weather had been even a little warmer, the pool would have been great! I also loved that the open loft, which had a pool table and air hockey, allowed me to keep tabs on what was going on with the kids without being "intrusive." One small issue, however, was that even though there is sleeping space in the loft for four people, if you're sleeping there, you have to go through someone else's bedroom to get to either of the two bathrooms. That caused a little argument over who got the "real" bedroom with the bathroom in-suite. Altogether, we had a great stay. The owner was communicative and responsive, and saw to a needed repair to the hot tub right away. We would definitely return, but perhaps with fewer kids!
Hi DK, thank you for your sweet reveiw on our Cabin Smokies Escape. I know you had a weekend of girls and it sounds like you all had a great time and enjoyed the cabin. We love being just 3 miles from the main parkway which makes it a quick drive to town. The cabin is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom as described, so when bringing guests you do have to use the two bathrooms provided downstairs. It sounds like it all worked out for your girls group. You were great guests to work with and thank you again for choosing to book with us! Nicole
