What makes this Cabin unique
I think it's the river that makes this so special. And the barn.

Great couples weekend getaway for DFW residents
My wife and I took a few days to get away. The property is a breath of the country life so close to DFW. We took mountain bikes and had plenty of hills and roads to make it fun. The best part of the trip was kayaking and fishing down the Brazos. After being dropped of at the bridge we made our way down back to the property stopping several times to fish in and out of the boat and catching quite a few catfish, largemouths, sand bass, and one small striper. If you Kayak straight it would take about an hour but we made it around a 5-6 hour trip. The tent was way more than we expected. The hot tub worked great and we actually got it too hot one night so make sure not to add too much wood. Cooked on grill both nights which worked well too. QT and Pilot gas stations are about 10 min away for anything you might need including ice. We slept very comfortably as the air conditioning worked great. Bill took are of any questions or needs we had immediately.
My family came to this peaceful retreat and were not disappointed! We had a great time at the river and just hanging around and walking in the woods with our dogs.. we even built a fairy house 😀. This is a fantastic getaway for anyone!
A Perfect Getaway!
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas in this little piece of heaven. A great getaway - perfect host and great location - 1.5 hours from Dallas. Surrounded by woods (no leaves other than a blanket on the floor of the forest), well-marked hiking trails to the water. We saw the cattle, deer, squirrels and heard the coyotes at night! There is a fence around this little compound which gives you a sense of comfort bringing the dogs out here. Everything you need is here (we packed too much) - just bring food, grill works perfectly, large shower, great accommodations and the best is the sound of the waterfall (on demand). We were 10 minutes there and already planning what other weekends we'd take off to be here. A perfect getaway and certainly a unique stay. Thanks Bill for creating this oasis.
I loved reading this, because it's exactly the experience we want our guests to have. Thanks Gary, see you next time! Bill
Great, serene glamping experience in the woods
Peaceful, tranquil, nature-rific, lux, glamping experience was really just what we needed to help 'reset'. The tent - and its surroundings (which you really feel at one with) - truly provide that "get away from it all" feeling. Everything was as stated, no surprises. Bill's (the owner) great sense of humor added some good laughs to our long weekend, as well. Might not be for the gourmand, as it is (as stated) a kitchenette plus a good outdoor grill, but otherwise, a wealth of activities, or, a bounty of just being, await. Can highly recommend. As Bill points out, it is a ~20 minute drive to Weatherford, so plan accordingly, especially at night. Thanks, Bill, for a great place and your great hospitality.
Even in record breaking heat, we stayed cool!
The Sundancer was beautiful. We especially enjoyed watching the waterfall. It was so hot out (107+) that we stayed inside more than we planned, but that was no problem. Even with the heat, the tent was comfortable.
