Nice quiet condo
The condo was nice and quiet. I liked the keypad enter to the room so you had no keys or cards to keep up with. For the most part the condo was clean. My only complaint was the tile floor needs to be scrubbed. Having a 1 year old that was crawling all over the place it was hard to keep him clean. He would have black knees and legs from crawling even on day 1 at the condo. The rest of the place seemed clean. Note to self no more all tile floor condo renting.
Thank you so much for your great review, we do have all of our tiled floors steam cleaned at the end of the busy season. Thanks again!! Kim's Condos
Needs some TLC
The place serves it's purpose as a place to stay, has a beautiful view of the ocean, the tub/shower is nicely over-sized, and the bed is comfortable. It's nice having access to the balcony directly from the master. The resort has two smaller pools and one larger pool and each has it's own hot tub. The larger pool has a bar with some decent food and beverages. Access to the beach can be located at each tower. The location is great for a vacation experience. Parking is strict, so if you're visiting from out of town, plan to meet up somewhere off property.
I wouldn't suggest this for a family of four. When we arrived we noticed the rooms were very dim. At least half the bulbs were either burned out or missing. We notified the owner and they were quick to have maintenance replace the bulbs. It's just odd that so many were out. Note that when closing the left side balcony doors, this may cause the right side to move a bit causing a gap, so you may need to pull the right side back in to position to prevent the gap between the sliding doors. The latches to the balcony doors are rusted and do not latch, so it's a good thing you're on the eight floor. The only interior locking door leads to the commode and tub. With little ones who forget to knock, this can be a bit of a challenge when trying to change. It looked like a remodel had been attempted to the living room area, but the ceiling looked like it was done as cheaply as possible with mud drooping here and there. The track lighting seemed to just be hung up however the contractor could get it to. The angle of the track didn't make any design sense. Judging by the main door, it looks like the tiles had been replaced at some point, but many appear to have hairline cracks in them.
We knew this was a smaller place than we normally book and we were hoping that the price was a reflection of the quality of the room, but were mistaken. This was one of the most expensive places we've booked and just felt the quality of the accommodations didn't line up with that cost. I can only hope this isn't a reflection of the remaining units at Long Beach Resort. Overall, this unit just wasn't the place for us as a family. It may very well work for someone else.
It was very comfprtable!
We loved the comfy king sized bed, and huge balcony and that there was plenty of kitchen storage. The rooms were big enough too. And the view of the Gulf from all rooms was wonderful. Sliding glass doors onto the balcony from both the bedroom and living room were great as well. There were a few minor issues, but we contacted Kim's Condos and the owners, and are certain that they will be addressed. We look forward to returning for a month next winter.
Thank you so much!! Kim's Condos
Pros; 8th floor is a perfect view of gulf, balcony is a great size, can hear the gulf, king size bed and sheets were very comfortable, washer/dryer in condo, bathtub is huge, bedroom tv is large, location of condo is in nicer area of PCB, close to walmart, smaller pool is heated.
Cons: couch was very uncomfortable (sinks), DVD player was not compatible with the tv's,
Thank you so much!! Kim's Condos
Lovely place for 2
My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for Memorial Day. The bedroom was spacious, the king size bed comfortable, whirlpool tub/shower, and sinks for two were perfect. The view from the 8th floor was great and the unit was well decorated. It has a great location that was temporarily marred by the road construction going on right in front of the condo plex that was creating large traffic jams.
The one thing that would improve the unit would be a better selection of pots & pans. The unit had several pots but only 1 tiny 6" skillet. So you were in good shape if you wanted to boil things but not if you wanted to saute anything, make pancakes, omelets, or use the oven.
