No stairs on the street or big slope to begin our day to acclimatise. Uber XL was like 23 soles from the airport. It is a one way street, so the boarding/alight will need to be real fast! The location is perfect for us. Around 1 km to San Pedro Market/Train Station, 1.5 km to Wanchaq market/ Train station, less than 10 min walk from Inca Rail bus-train bimodel drop off point and slightly 10 min walk to the main square. There are mini markets right by the left and right, if you run out of toilet roll, you can just buy one at 1.5 soles.A bigger supermarket is 2 min walk, 24 hours medical centre 2 min walk (we had to use it because a kid got ear pain -- cost 480 soles), Olivio local peruvian vege restaurant 2 min walk (set meal 15 soles, big portion, delicious, authenthic, we ate there 3 times) and if you want to go to Ollantaytambo or Uruamba, the collecto mini van is right at the corner. Right opposite to the duplex apartment is a parking garage. The duplex apartment has big space for 6 of us. The day we arrived, the temperature was like -2 degree celcius at night. The small portable heater we requested was not enough to warm up the apartment. So the apt was always cold, like Eastern Canada late spring without heating. We stayed 5 nights. We didn't really cook, just boiled water, but kitchen seems got all cooking utensil and some condiments -salt, oil ..Washing machine was useful, but clothes were difficult to dry. We left them in the balcony in front, where the sun was.
