About Jenifer Kane
I purchased the home in 2014 after my parents passed. The home was hand built by my father and holds many dear family memories for my brothers Pat, Jon and Mitch and I. We all grew up in the home and attended New Prairie High School and were active in sports and many community activities. My husband Steve and I currently live in Augusta, Michigan which is near the Kalamazoo area.

Beautiful home! Very relaxing atmosphere and very comfortable surroundings.
We had a group of 8 and everyone had a lovely time. The kids loved the large backyard. The beds were very comfortable. Every amenity was provided. We drove to the beach at grand mere state park and had a blast!
Great, quiet getaway
Jennifer, the owner, was very responsive to any inquiries and very personable. The place was nice, perfect for the five of us to stay for a wedding we attended close by. Beautiful gardens and grounds, nice outdoor areas - would have loved to have been able to take more advantage of them but with the wedding amd a heat index of over 100, we didn't get to use the outside too much. Three bedrooms, four queen size beds, kitchen and two bathrooms. Family room with books, games and TV to use. Great selection of drinks and snacks for us when we arrived - in addition to basics like milk, cream, butter, OJ, coffee. Our daughter and SIL were able to bring their beagle with them and he loved the grounds, too. Overall a very positive experience and we would return if the opportunity presents itself.
Great place and location!
What an awesome time we had here! Perfect location, awesome furnishing, big back yard, and we loved the deck and fire pit as well. I cant say enough how much we enjoyed staying here. There were 8 of us plus 2 puppies yet this place was big enough to accommodate us all. I highly recommend staying here to experience the country setting for a perfect getaway! Thank you for having us!
"A Diamond in the Cornfields"
Very nice ! Everything was very neat, clean, and Homey. We were on the go most the time so we didn't get much time to enjoy the deck , fire pit, and huge yard. Great place to bring the grandchildren.
Homey and relaxing
We absolutely loved staying here! It was nice to get up and go to the beach then come home from the evening, have dinner and enjoy the backyard. The kids are already asking Papa if we can go back next year! Great place to stay, and not a bad drive to several beaches!
We had an awesome time steping back in time.
Thank you for sharing your awesome (back in time) home. The furnishings and atmosphere took us back in time. We loved the back patio area sitting and just listening to the birds and the trains (bound for Chicago) off in the distance. The acres and acres of corn fields across the street made the morning sunrise even more fabulous. Upon our arrival there were snacks, fruits and drinks which made it feel like home when we arrived. Thank you again for allowing us to step back into time and enjoy our 10 days vacation in Indiana.
Our family home was hand build by our dad, Don Kane. With three bedrooms, up to ten guests can sleep comfortably through double beds and other arrangements. You will feel at home with two baths and fully equipped kitchen. Central air and heating offer year round comfort. Towels and lines are provided as well as cable TV and internet connection.
Open spaces in our back yard invite a walk, or you can just relax in our family room, on our porch, deck...or maybe around the cutting block in the kitchen where everyone usually ends up.
We hope you will enjoy your stay in our family home, and we welcome you to the Kane's Guesthouse!
