También hay una casa vecina de 3 dormitorios con capacidad para 9, que funciona bien para reuniones familiares, etc. Esta casa también está disponible para alquiler y obtiene una tasa ligeramente más baja.

Aproximadamente a una hora de Chicago. Hudson Lake a solo 75 millas al sudeste de Chicago. Esta cabaña de lujo recientemente reconstruida es todo menos ordinaria. Estilo confortable con una cocina totalmente equipada. 500 pies cuadrados de cubiertas, un muelle de 80 pies y una balsa de natación. También hay una casa en la playa para asar y relajarse más cerca de la playa, una manera fácil de vigilar a los niños. Suministramos ropa de cama y toallas de baño. There is a reason we keep coming back… Shari and Ryan are amazing hosts and are ultra responsive. The chickens are so much fun and the property is well stocked with everything you could need to have a fun AND relaxing vacation. Can’t wait for next year.

Family Vacation

Sherri is an excellent host and communicated promptly to any question I had. The property was perfect for our 4 grandchildren. The beach area was a big hit. The chicken coop area was enjoyed by the kids as well. Ryan was helpful and provided interesting history of the family property. We had everything possible for a Lake vacation

Week with the family

best stocked house we have ever rented. lots of throw blankets, fully stocked kitchen, fans etc... communication with Shari was great. New Carlisle is in the eastern time zone but the house is in central. some of our group showed up early and Shari was able to get them into the house early. Fresh eggs for breakfast was great too. only negative i would say is that its not a true 5 bedroom house. its a 3 bedroom house with an open loft and a bed in the open basement. it all worked out fine with kids spread out all over the house.

Great vacation

This is a very nice house. Very clean and roomy for family quiet time when not by the lake. Great kitchen with everything you need. The lake itself is beautiful and quiet on a bay at the end. We spent hours on the jetski and would highly recommend renting it. The owner was fantastic responding immediatley to any questions or small issues.

Wonderful!

We were so happy with this rental! Very quiet lake. Enjoyed the kayaks, boat rides, swimming, fishing, chickens. So much fun for our family. Also a short drive to new buffalo. Spent a day there during our stay. Would definitely go again. Our kids said it was their best vacation yet!

Great property with amazing beach

My family and I recently stayed here for 5 days. The home itself was great with plenty of room for everyone. My two young kids enjoyed the chicken coop in front. The beach was great and there was plenty to do outside. Shari was very responsive and communicated with me throughout the stay if I needed anything. I definitely recommend staying here!

Nice lake and house

Had a great time at the house with family (7 adults, 2 kids). House is well stocked and furnished. Good communication with the owner. Lake is a nice size and near many things in the Michiana area. Outdoor areas had a fire pit, grill and lake side room with deck. Would stay again.

Mills family vacation

We had a nice week. Shari and Ryan were great hosts. Kids loved feeding the chickens. Everyone loved the fresh eggs. Rooster announced the day Starting at 4:30 am... We appreciated the kayaks and other lake toys.

Attentive host with stocked property

My family loves the Hudson Lake/New Carlisle area and Shari and her son Ryan made sure we had everything we needed, offered helpful suggestions for activities in the area and had a really stocked home complete with chickens. We loved using the paddle boat, the "lily pad", sitting on the very long, sandy beach and playing games on the rainy day. The plus was bringing our pup who had a great time, too. We are already planning next year's trip!

#LakeLife

This was such a lovely getaway! We loved the house, the lake, and the pontoon. It was nice to wake up each day and just head down to the lake. The chickens were an added bonus that we loved having as part of our trip. Shari & Ryan were both great to work with, and easy to get in touch with. There are a few restaurants close by, New Buffalo about a 25 min drive & Michigan City about a 30 min drive. We enjoyed our time & will definitely be back!

Annual family trip

Every year we get away as a family and visit somewhere new. This year we stayed in New Carlisle! We had a group of 7 and this home was perfect for all of us! Plenty of places to sleep. Home was clean and had everything we needed to cook and feel like home! The barhrooms were beautiful! There was also plenty to do at the home....kayaks, paddle boats, fire pit etc. Even met a few neighbors and they were very nice! The town was cute and the view was amazing! Close enough to wineries and other local things to do! We loved it and had the best time! Already talking about going back there again!

It was exactly what we wanted for a family vacation.

We had 6 adults and 5 children under 10. The beach with shallow and wading area is what we wanted for the kids. The lake water was clean and clear, and it had minimal boat traffic that made boating water sports low stress. A couple of the adults in our group like to fish and the lake delivered. They caught some nice fish from bass to pike and perch. Definitely satisfied they're need for good fishing. The young ones in our group enjoyed the chickens experience. The property is safe and secluded, and is on our list for a return visit.

LABOR DAY 2021

the communication with the owner was great! Ryan let the grandkids feed the chickens and gather the eggs. They thought that was wonderful. There were plenty of things to do. The young adults had hours of fun on the kayaks. the grandkids also gave the kayaks and paddleboards a try a did very well on them. They have asked if we can do this again. The beach area was nice for the little ones, plenty of sand toys. The house had plenty of room for all of us was a comfortable stay. thank you for sharing your home!

Beautiful house

We spent a few nights at this gorgeous home on Lake Hudson. Shari and her son were attentive and everything inside the house was very clean and well stocked. They were also very accommodating about my father’s boat. Shari’s son worked a lot during our stay on their neighboring property. You can tell they are kind folks and want the very best god their guests. A few things of note, we did not swim as planned, there is a steep drop off pretty close to shore which made us uncomfortable about our 8 year old. The topography is also fairly steep too, not ideal for my small dog who cannot do stairs.

Great lake, lots of room

We had a great time here with cousins and grandma and grandpa. The lake was great, but the "beach" is a bit rocky so water shoes are a good idea. The kids spent hours and hours on the water in the kayaks and paddle boat and on the big float. The owner lives next door and was available to answer any questions. For the price, I would have expected some of the general maintenance to be a bit better - broken glass in the woodchips around the firepit, grill has seen better days, ect. We were coming from Michigan and arrived an hour early for check-in because of the time change. Apparently the cottage is right near the line where the time changes.

Family vacation

The property has a beach front on Hudson Lake. They have kayaks, a paddle board, floating mats. They also raise chickens and have a coup - but the house is well insulated so the rooster doesn’t wake you up! In fact, he doesn’t even crow! The kids loved feeding the chickens, fishing from the dock, the adults enjoyed kayak fishing, and if you are staying indoors, they have a great TV in the family room with all the channels you’d want. The owners were great and very responsive - they live next door! Our two dogs loved the place, too! They enjoyed the water and we kept them in the beach house when they were done swimming and wet but we were on the beach still. Loved the beach house and it’s deck!!!

Great Family Vacation - fun for everyone

We spent a great family vacation and found Shari's home a wonderful place to have an opportunity for everyone to enjoy our time together. Shari was very nice to work with along with her son who was also very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive to any item we might need. We had 10 adults & a 2 year old. We were able to enjoy the beach, as well as playing games on the lawn, and cookouts every night. The "Jabba the Hut" was a great plus. We were able to play cards & games without waking up our grandson. Our grandson loved the chickens. Multiple TVs and places with front and back decks to talk, without disturbing others who might still be sleeping. We would look to coming back again next year. Shari is great!

A Wonderful Time with Generous Hosts

Our group ranged in age from 14 mos to 69 years. We all had a wonderful time. Shari and her son Ryan are generous hosts and dedicated to making sure you have a good time. The house is nicely stocked with extra paper products and the kitchen has everything you need. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a nice TV area that was perfect for a group. Netflix was included, which was wonderful for the grands. The 30 year old's used the kayak and paddle boat. The children ( 7 & 5) enjoyed the beach area and the water. The "lily pad" was a huge hit. Ryan let them help feed the chickens; and even collect eggs! A campfire and catching lightning bugs were fun, and renting the pontoon boat added to the experience. This is an excellent property for a family. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Memorable Milestone Birthday

Traveling to get to your destination can be stressful that first day. I found the oversized soak tub an absolute dream to dissipate the tension. The next day, the spa-like shower provided a pampering area for exfoliation as well as a relaxing rain shower to cleanse the mind. The vanity was well lit for facial preparation and the decor and ambience a treat. The rest of our stay was just as enjoyable. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. There were plenty of pots, pans and utensils, all of good quality. The sleeping arrangements accommodated all 9 of us without feeling cramped. The boathouse was a bonus, providing a space for those who wanted late night activity. The pontoon was something that helped make family memories as we enjoyed all that goes with being on the lake. The sunsets were beautiful. And the Bay Area we were located on had countless hours of fun for the kids as they played on the amenities offered. They fished, used the paddle board and paddle boat, and the blue float mat was a huge hit! We will definitely be going back.

Great outdoor space

The outdoor space was exactly what we were looking for. Kids absolutely loved the water pad. Kayaks and pontoon boat were great. The beach house was great for relaxing while watching the kids play. It gets full sun in the afternoon and the umbrella was not functional, so that would have been nice. The inside was ok. Kitchen was a little small to prepare meals. Everyone seemed to enjoy their rooms. It was explained to me to try to have people use the upstairs toilet, but in a group of 10 with 5 kids it's hard to get everyone on the same page. I'm guessing that's why the main level toilet clogged several times. Major bonus...this place has chickens. Not sure why it wasn't mentioned in the listing, but the kids loved watching them and everyone loved the fresh eggs. The property owner's son was very attentive. This could be hit or miss for some people. He was there when we arrived to show us around and was around for most of the first couple days working around the property. One night we were having a fire after dark and he showed up to drop off some gas cans for the boat. Honestly, we were caught a little off guard. Very nice guy and very helpful, but my personal preference would be to have the house to ourselves. Overall, everyone had a great time

Very cozy Tuscan decorated beach house. The owner was great about keeping in touch throughout the stay. Her son was working on the property next door and brought us fresh eggs from the chickens at the rental and doughnuts one morning. Our 3 yr old grandson was a huge fan of the beach. The lake was large enough for skiing but not crowded. Everyone (family of seven) had a relaxing long 4 day weekend.

Annual Family Lake House Boating Trip

The house was roomy with plenty of different sleeping areas which accommodated my sister and my families for our annual Lake House Boating trip. The beach area and lake are perfect for a family fun with the paddle board, water mat, etc provided. There was a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of bath towels. This was not the typical rental…. At times it felt like a bed and breakfast because the hosts went above and beyond - he popped by with donuts one morning and fresh eggs from their chickens. We had a great stay and we would be curious if next time the owner would provide screens for the windows and doors so we could open up and enjoy the lake breeze.

Amazing Vacation

This property was exactly what we were looking for! We vacationed with 10 people and everyone had the space they required. The hosts were excellent. They were very accommodating to our every need. Will definitely add this to the list of places to return.
