Great Base to Explore the Island.
We had the privilege of renting this spacious home and property for 67 days. While we were never concerned about our personnel safety on Curacao, it was nice to have our rental property gated.
The house is as pictured. It is spacious, clean and the kitchen was stocked for meal preparation. Due to delayed flights and getting lost we were six hours late but we were met by very friendly and helpful family members who showed us around the house and responded to our questions
Having our private washroom and shower was great!
We used the pool almost everyday even when we came back from snorkeling. It was nice to relax in before starting supper.
The house is close to all the east end activities and Punda. It is about an hour of easy driving to the snorkeling sites on the west end of the island.
We ate all our meals in the front porch under citronella candle light to keep the black-flies (?) away. As I was a favorite target I also used bug repellent.
We enjoyed our stay and especially dealing with the landlord and his family. They went way beyond being just helpful. Rey was always available to assist with local information even though he was in Netherlands.
We had a great vacation and would definitely stay here again!
