Pretty disapointing.
I'll start by saying who this rental would be good for. If you are a longtime camper that is looking for a roof and some more room this is for you. The internet works well and the netflix that is set up on the smart tv gives options for entertainment. It is very quiet and secluded there.
My issues.
I did not notice the part about the outdoor composting toilet when i rented this. I had filtered my search to include 1 bathroom. I do not feel that an outdoor toilet counts even if there is a shower inside.
The property is NOT actually in Norway. It is in Sweden. You may be able to look across the lake to Norway, but the dirt roads to get there take a long time. This will add an extra 1/2 hour each way if you had ideas of visiting Oslo for example.
The property is in need of repair. The floors are sagging in the entryway and first room. There is cracked laminate on top of that. The shower and sink that are inside appear to connect to broken pipes that lead outside to a ravine instead of the tank in the ground. The gutter is hanging off the building on one side. A bed collapsed while I was sleeping. There is a lack of an outdoor sitting area with a view of the lake.
Now for the stuff outside the control of the renter. The interactions with the immediate neighbors has me waving to them and having them stare back. I'm not sure if that was due to my being on a motorcycle or if was just them. Skillingsfors was less friendly than other areas i went on this trip. I don't speak the language so perhaps that was a factor. It is possible this was because a lack of practice in English or was something else. In any case I don't expect people to speak my language in their own country and have had good experiences without a common language several times on this trip.
Ultimately I left this place that I had prepaid for 3 days early because it was not worth it to stay there compared to my other options on this vacation. If this was my first VRBO rental I might not have used VRBO again. This place would be a nice property to have in the family for family use. It is just not up to a standard to rent to strangers.
