Family trip

Unfortunately we only had two nights at this beautiful property on well groomed gardens with a prime view of Mt. Etna. Fabio met and checked us in and we felt welcomed.

Nice spot in the middle of Mascali

Very nice ambiente, especially the garden! Unfortunately we had not the best weather but we enjoyed the apartment and the pool area!

Mascali Villa Carlino

We stayed at villa carlino in the “Esclusivo ” apartment for 3 nights . The grounds were beautiful, the bedrooms / bathrooms were comfortable and all was clean . Unfortunately it rained for 2 days while we were there and we couldn’t enjoy the pool . It would have been nice to have an indoor hang out area ( living room ) where all six of us could fit . The location is great for getting to Etna and Taormina .

Great base to explore Etna area

Brilliant pool and sun loungers. Unique to look up and see Mount Etna smoking away. Apartment had everything we needed. Host was friendly, helpful and responsive. Perfect cycling area too! Mascali is a real Sicilian, working town. Rare to hear other English speakers… which we loved! We’d definitely return to the area and would stay in same apartment again.

Slice of heaven

This property is idyllic, the views to Etna are unspoilt and everything is exactly as explained One point which is by no means a criticism; the villa is in the town of Mercali which does seem to have not fully got back on its feet for eateries and bars If booking this villa I would advise a car as it will make like easier especially to visit nearby supermarkets and the town of Giarre Taormina is roughly 25/30 minutes away bar car

We had a nice stay. All was clean. We stayed at the Eclusive appartment. Chairs in kitchen are not very comfortable if you need to stay inside. Only negative thing for us was the overload on messages and mails regarding check in/out and houserules. We think an information map in appartment would be more customer friendly .ininstead of pointing

Sicily my fathers homeland

This property is beautiful and as advertised! It is important that each couple felt they had the same level of luxury and we did. The landscaping and outdoor areas were neat and clean; as a surprise bonus a family of kittens visited us daily which just added to the sweetness of our stay. The location made it easy to visit everything we wanted to see. Maria tended to any questions we had and promptly addressed any issues we faced. We overcame our embarrassing lack of Italian language skills without issue.

My Etna retreat

Lovely apartment homes located in a compound in the quaint villa of Mascali with a great view of Mt. Etna. The property grounds were beautifully maintained. The apartment was very clean, and having 3 separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms was definitely a plus. Updated appliances and amenities. Did not have a chance to use pool due to weather and schedule. There is a grocery and nice meat market in town. Restaurants limited to coffee bars for breakfast. Directions initially confusing on getting there, but signs around town were helpful. Maria and Claudio the property custodians were very pleasant.

Lovely villa

The villa and gardens were very good quality. The trees were beautiful and so varied, all extremely well kept. The pool is lovely and it’s environment super for a day in the sun. You need a hire car to get about as there’s nothing else nearby, although Taormina is not too far if you’re driving. We saw excellent view of Etna erupting with red lava every night from the balcony . We had a lovely few days here, thanks to the good care of the manager and housekeeper

Oasi di relax

Villa Carlino è un gioiello sia per il giardino meraviglioso, curato in modo impeccabile , sia per gli appartamenti che sono belli e dotati di tutto, (in particolar modo abbiamo apprezzato il fatto che ci fosse il bagno privato in ogni camera) sia per la gentilezza e disponibilità dei suoi padroni di casa Fabio e Melita Guardo che ci hanno accolto e seguito durante il soggiorno sempre con discrezione , disponibilità e simpatia. Siamo stati benissimo e non possiamo che raccomandare quest’oasi di relax.
