Our holiday apartments are surrounded by greenery and nestled on a panoramic hill overlooking the entire Umbrian Valley and Tuscany.

Our accommodation, created on the basis of an old farmhouse that we have finely restored in accordance with local Umbrian traditions, is made up of four independent apartments and a private swimming pool available for guests.

We are in close contact with nature and surrounded by multiple landscape, religious and cultural riches but at the same time a stone's throw from the modern conveniences offered by the main centers of the Valtiberina such as Sansepolcro and Città di Castello which are only a few minutes away by car.
An ideal environment for all those who seek peace and at the same time do not give up on today's comforts.
The "Podere Casenove" farmhouse is located in the green hills of Upper Umbria, close to some of the most popular tourist destinations in Umbria, Tuscany, the Marches and Romagna and is positioned on a hill from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama over the entire Upper Tiber Valley at 330 meters above sea level, in the municipality of ancient Etruscan origins of Citerna, whose territory was densely populated even in Roman times.

The beauty and the suggestion of these places made Pliny the Younger affirm "You would have a great pleasure to relate this region from the top of the hills: in fact, you would seem to see not a territory, but a painting painted with incredible skill".

Our accommodation is surrounded by a large, completely fenced and independent green area with garden, 2 swimming pools (for adults measuring 12x6 meters and for children measuring 4x3 meters), parking space and a roof for motorbikes or bicycles.

The Podere Casenove farm has been owned by the Canosci family for hundreds of years; until 1984 it was a company run with the "Mezzadria contract" therefore the land was cultivated by the family of the so-called "Mezzadro" who lived in the farmhouse.

The farm until then was composed of:
• Agricultural land of 5.20 hectares (of which 5 hectares of arable land and 0.20 hectares used as vineyards);
• Farm house used as a sharecropper's house;
• Canopy in front of the farmhouse with a wood oven;
• Open shed used as a tool shed;
• Building used as a barn;
• Building used as a drying room for white tobacco produced on our land;
• Large land belonging to the properties indicated above called "Aia".


Following the split of the sharecropping contract after 1984 with direct cultivation by the owners and following substantial restorations, the cottage became the summer holiday home of the owner's family.

From 2000 onwards further restoration work began in respect of local housing types such as wooden beams, terracotta, parts of exposed walls, etc. aimed at gradually starting a new agritourism activity.

The hospitality business had an effective start in 2002 and was followed with loving care directly by Mrs. Luigina wife of the owner.
