The property was excellent. It is very comfortable and well equipped. It is in a great location for visiting York, and also getting to other parts of the county. Two downsides are that the WiFi is poor

A window in the entrance door would give more light in to the kitchen,
No instructions for TV and DVD player had to ask.
Did not know how much park and ride was into York, more tourist info would have been appreciated.

We appreciated the welcome pack and the greeting from John, the owner.
We appreciated the welcome pack and the greeting from John, the owner. The location was excellent with the Park and Ride only a short drive away next to an excellent retail park. We found the cottage rather dark. Some of the fixtures and fittings were a little tired, some needing repair which we did point out to the owner as we felt it necessary to do so.

We were very impressed by this cottage-it was lovely and warm and had everything you need.
We were very impressed by this cottage-it was lovely and warm and had everything you need. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the wifi was good, and the owners had left a vase of flowers, and coffee, tea, bread, butter & milk for us on arrival which was a lovely touch and much appreciated.
The bathroom was modern with a shower over the bath.
The kitchen had everything you needed, microwave and a dishwasher.
If I had to say anything negative, it was the second bedroom which was accessed through the main bedroom, which for us with a teenage son wasn't a problem, but might be for some.
All in all a lovely location-5 minutes drive from Monks Cross with shops, supermarkets etc, and even the Toby carvery just across the road.
If we stay in the area again, I would certainly re-book here, and it was excellent value for money
