I had the most wonderful and relaxing break.. lots of walking 8 mile round trip to local pub. Felt very welcome I will be going back. Views where amazing thanks Bob
We absolutely loved our time here. We had deer peering through the window on the first night and saw a herd on top of a nearby hill too. There were buzzards nesting in a nearby tree and I even saw a pine marten while sat by the burn one evening, so it’s great if you love nature.
The location is great - it feels very remote - and Bob was super helpful and informative. The hot tub, fresh eggs from the chickens, a lovely garden area - it’s was a great stay and we’d love to head back.
Very peaceful and isolated highland location. Great get away from city life.
Freshly layed eggs every morning from free ranging chickens. Great for dogs as it's well designed to let dog off leash around property. Wonderful Jacuzzi to relax in the evening.
Great host "Bob" , friendly welcoming and always at hand when needed.
Overall enjoyed the holiday, recharged our batteries definitely

one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed at (and we go to a lot).
one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed at (and we go to a lot). If you like a traditional scottish cottage off the main track then this place is for you.
we loved that it was so isolated yet less than an hour from perth (or 30 mins from blairgowrie for supermakets). you really can get away from all the hustle and bustle here, the views are amazing and there are so many great walks on your front door
sitting in the hot tub, watching a meteor shower at night was our highlight.
Free eggs from the handy chicken coop and plenty of wood and coal for both fires (also extras, if needed were very cheap and handy - often find you can get ripped off for these in most places - not here - loads to hand)
Bob is by far the best host we've had, always on hand if needed and the bubbly, wine and mince pies for xmas were a class touch
will definitely be back!!

It was a privilege to stay in this authentic old cottage. The location is stunningly beautiful and tranquil but you need a car! It is a 30 minute drive to the nearest town! Bob, the owner and host, was very helpful and friendly.

Fabulous 300 year old farm house.
Fabulous 300 year old farm house. Full of character and charm. Cosy stove in sitting room and hot tub with views over the hills.
Set amongst glen Isla next to river Isla. Close to beautiful walks and wildlife including red squirrels, deer and birds of prey. If your looking for a place to unwind. This is it

This is a great place to get away from it all.
This is a great place to get away from it all. It was a perfect chocolate box cottage in the middle of nowhere. Stunning views, eagles flying above, finches and even a woodpecker feeding at the bird table. It was like taking a trip back in time.
Bob the owner was great and really helpful.
The facilities are not all pristine but that just adds to the character of the place. Loved it.

We had a wonderful two weeks, our host Bob was brilliant with nothing being too much trouble. The local scenery was outstanding , we saw eagles, deer, voles and hares from the front gardens. Dalvanie Mill is a wonderful house in a beautiful location.
Dalvanie Mill is a wonderful house in a beautiful location. Very helpful and friendly host. The fires keep the house very cosy and homely but it is also spacious. The house has everything you could need and is well equipped ( no internet/sparse mobile signal - but this is partly why we chose it!)
