We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brixton Barn. Beautiful old barn building converted with a lot of thought and taste, with all the mod cons you might want including a gorgeous air jet bath to soak in after a long hike! The village location is beautiful & quiet, with a great little village shop well stocked with plenty of local produce. 20min walk to the beach and the Downs start practically from your back garden. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful with local tips on walks, pubs and villages to visit. This was a lovely cottage, the hosts were a lovely couple, very helpful - although be prepared to travel to eat out - the local pub was not to our liking. The village shop was amazing and had everything you could want enough to make meals at the cottage from a spag bol to steaks and roasts. Best bit of advice...make your pub/restaurant booking early to avoid disappointment in peak times. As a guide a taxi from the cottage to Yarmouth was £20 EW so factor this into your budget. Fantastic holiday. Accommodation first class. Brixton barn was well equipped. Great shower and bed. The owners of the property were extremely helpful with advice on where to visit as this was our first visit to the island. Will definitely book with them another time.

We loved the cottage Christine and Colin made us feel very welcome. They even phoned us to let us know that we could get into the cottage earlier than planned. We found it was easy to get about from there , its suprising how near the coast you are. We had to make a visit to the hospital in Newport but even that was no big deal we were in and out in 30 minutes. The only addition to the cottage I would make would be a shower mat, it gets very slippery . The bed was very comfy and that spa bath was very relaxing.

We had a fabulous time at Brixton Barn.

We had a fabulous time at Brixton Barn. It was well equipped, comfortable and the contents of the welcome pack were much appreciated. The bath was a real luxury as well. The barn is in the ideal situation for touring around the island and the village is beautiful. A wonderful, relaxing place to stay.
