There are many places of historical interest such as castles, National Trust properties, Dore Abbey, Hereford Cathedral and Mappa Mundi Centre. Golf, fishing, riding and canoeing can all be found locally. It is within an easy drive of Hay-on-Wye, 10 miles, famous for its literary festivals and known as the "Book Capital of the World", with many craft shops and galleries.
