Great location

Lovely apartment in a great, peaceful, location. Good communication from hosts and easy check-in and -out. We struggled a bit with the shutters but overall a good, convenient apartment with a nice view.

Wonderful experience! Just outside the tourist bustle, but close enough to easily walk to everything. One of the best locations in the city. Had some questions when we arrived and Thomas was responsive and very helpful! Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Location in the heart of Dorsoduro. Host was very accessible, accommodating and communications easy. Check in was flawless. Very good size apartment for a couple. There were were no amenities for cooking, coffee or tea, but OK with the location and all our time was spent out.The AC was not functioning which given the beautiful weather we had would have been perfectly fine except the windows lacked very necessary mosquito screens. Nice artwork but the living room could use a bit more charm as the furniture a bit old and tired.Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. It is Venice, which makes up for any shortcomings!

Great for small family

Overall a quiet place to stay for our family of 4. Easy to get to popular sight-seeing locations, but out of the way and quiet at night. Space was simply furnished but adequate for the price point. Convenient to restaurants and a grocery store. We had a little trouble understanding the hot water and trash, but wouldn’t keep us from staying there again.

Great Location

Great location, near Guggenheim and canal view out the window. Very Clean. Mosquitos managed to get through the screens in the eve, so I recommend using the AC and closing windows at night.

Venice stay

Overall, the stay was excellent. The only deterrent was that my sister-in-law received numerous bites from bed bugs in the back bedroom. I told the property manager and he thanked me and said they would address that immediately. Everything else was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful location

Lovely, comfortable apartment and perfect location. Nice artwork and furnishings. The bathroom floor and shower were quite moldy, and the kitchen surfaces and cabinets needed cleaning. The kitchen cabinet below the sink was broken which made getting to the trash cans inconvenient; we let Thomas know when we arrived but it wasn’t fixed. Overall, nice apartment, view, and neighborhood.

Picturesque setting and convenient location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spirito Sanyo. Very conveniently located and easy to get to from the train station on water bus. Easy walk to St Peter’s Basilica and Doges Palace. The apartment has two air conditioning units-one in the living room and another in the main bedroom. Second bedroom doesn’t have one, but window can provide ventilation. Very bright with a lot of natural light and situated on a picturesque smaller canal (no traffic/noise). Kitchen was well-equipped and dining area was spacious. Key box made check in/out very simple. Thank you for a great stay!

Overall a nice unit, however the property owner did NOT tell us about a major construction project going on across the canal. They were drilling and hammering all day every day. When I contacted him, he just stated "there is construction happening all over Venice". So, it wasn't the best form of communication. The unit itself was clean and basic. The main bedroom nice with a window but the 2nd bedroom dark and a bit dingy. The laundry is in the bathroom- not ideal. The kitchen was nice as was the small living room. Check-in was a bit off and not very well communicated. Be aware. Honestly, the price is a bit high for what you get. I'd do some research to find something else comparable.

Sorry you haven't fully enjoyed, but there are many renovations in Venice so it's impossible for us to be updated every time, anyway this one is already finished. Our checkin process is smooth but you have to read the instructions we send, otherwise yes it can be a bit tricky if you ignore our messages.. and just come in front of the property. All the Best. Great location

Exactly as advertised. Getting in was easy. There were lots of towels etc available. CD The only negative about this place is there are a number but I mean a lot if birds that start squawking around 4:45 am and go on for hours. The sound is LOUD, eerie and bizarre. Like cats in heat x 100!! For the price, it would’ve been nice for there to have been a bottle of water available. Also once again, we are from Canada and do not know European appliances. A manual with simple instructions about how to use the tv would have been helpful. So advertising a tv doesn’t help if there is no signal!! All in all..very happy with this apartment.

Our little Venice castle

This by far was the best Vrbo listing we have stayed at on our month long Europe trip! This place was like our our castle with our own little restaurant, The Messer restaurant, 5 star restaurant, right in front of it. We stayed with our family of Three. The water taxi dropped us off and picked us up at the Santa Maria spirit church that is just steps away from this beautiful house. We stayed there, my husband and I, with our 13 yr old daughter in July For just 2 night, and wished we had stayed longer. It was perfect for us, but would be great for a family of 4 as well. Lion host does a great job, this place is gorgeous!! We felt so spoiled to get to stay here, and will 100% be back. We have traveled all over northern and Southern France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, and Greece, but this place in Venice felt like a real blessing. It was also the least expensive place we stayed for the fact it had all the amenities and was the biggest place, for the least price, and had the nicest people no matter where we went. We had privacy, we felt like this was our own castle in Italy. We are forever grateful, and hope we get the opportunity to book here again! Thank your so much!

Don't arrive early

This is mostly not the property managers fault. However, we were unable to check in to the apartment to drop our bags due to lack of communication and an issue with the VRBO app. The link provided for the check in directions would not open in the app and when copying the link, it was redirected to a link for the property contract on their Lionhost website. No directions we're available. I raised this issue with the property manager but was sent an automated reply several times. Once the property manager replied with directions an hour and a half later, I had found new lodging and requested a cancellation of the original stay. I did not get to experience this VRBO so can't give a review of the conditions. The host refused to refund my stay.

We sent clear direction as always, we even allowed to access the apartment at 11 AM instead of 3PM as usual, the automated messages containing instructions to access were sent by the system consequently of you repeatedly doing the online checkin. We sent you minutes after your mail a non automated message with (again) detailed instructions to access the property, sent per mail & whatsapp. We manage hundreds of guests smoothly so sincerely don't know why you simply haven't read the detailed instructions that have been sent many days before arrival and many times the morning of your arrival. Sorry but there's not much else we can do, if you book a self checkin property but then refuse to read the instruction to access in self mode.

Spacious and comfortable

This apt is spacious with all kitchen amenities and the host is responsive. It was very easy to find and enter using lockbox. The apt is generally clean though the bathroom floor could use a little bleach. The apt is on the 2nd floor with no elevator. Its accessible via a very short walk via the Spirito Santo Vaporetto stop. If you use vaporetto line 1 to Salute instead you will need to pass over some bridges with stairs but that stop is very close as well. There is a well stocked grocery store nearby as well restaurant options. The apt has an a/c unit in the main room and the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom door and bathroom must be kept open for the cool air to circulate in. There is no elevator. We had no issue with any bed bugs. Mattresses and sheet were clean. As long as you keep the windows closed the mosquitos wont get in. The screens have many holes so you cant really open the windows. The apt has a washer and large drying rack for the clothes. Overall i would recommend this place for the spaciousness, comfort and convenient location to many must sees.
