Hello, my name is Maximillia. I LOVE to TRAVEL, can't think of something more exciting than going somewhere that I've never been. I love the mountains, the beach, and cities too, the Hawaiian and Greek Islands are my current favs. I love NYC and Washington DC for touring, and think the Pacific Coastline (HWY 1) is breathtaking! I never tire of driving and exploring it, from the Redwoods down to Big Sur and LA I am a lifelong bookworm and absolutely cannot resist a pair of killer heels. My hobbies are interior and landscape design, creating beautiful places for people to enjoy. Entertaining is a big part of my life; food, fellowship and fun with people I love. While I love the great outdoors I also LOVE my creature comforts!
Maximillia purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Maximillia chose Packwood
We purchased this cabin because of its setting, so close to so much to do; skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing all close enough to enjoy for the day and then return to a cozy comfortable haven at night.
What makes this Cabin unique
The views from the deck and front of the cabin are spectacular. On a clear day it seems like you could touch the top of Mt. Rainer, on other days you feel like you are nestled in a cabin in the clouds. Our cabin is rustic but CLEAN and comfortable. Everything you need or want in a small, organized lovely package.

Cozy cabin in the mountains
This was a wonderful location for our time near Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking and having access to laundry was a luxury we both appreciated. There was ample space for the two of us and it seemed like we spent most of our time at the high top table, watching Mt. Rainier change colors as the morning and evening sun moved along the sky. Maximilla provided everything we needed from coffee in the morning to snacks in the evening. We didn't have the time to use the fire pit but we did use the stove both evenings. I can only imagine how cute this place would be in snow!!
Packwood has a few restaurants in town but our timing was such that a few weren't open during our stay. We enjoyed our meals at Blue Spruce Saloon and Cruisers and stopped for additional coffee at The Mountain Goat.
Thank you so much for sharing this home with us....it was a wonderful place to spend time in the mountains!
We had a great stay at Maison de Montagne. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. Check in and out were very easy. Would definitely stay there again if we get a chance to come back to Packwood!
The house has a perfect location for so very many hikes. The house itself is set up perfectly to accommodate your needs. It was wonderful to make a roaring fire after a long day in the mountains.
Cabin get away
We enjoyed our time at the little cabin. Nice and close to downtown Packwood and easy access to Mt. Rainier park. The place had everything we needed and the wood stove kept the place nice and cozy. Wish we could have used the fire pit but just not enough time. Overall a great experience.
Our stay in Packwood
Very nice place. The only thing that would have been better would be to move the place across the street. I read the owners notes about not going across the road on the neighbors property. I did however start talking to him because he was outside working while we were sitting on the deck. It wasn't long before he invited us over to have a look at his view of the river. I believe his name Phil
Anyway we toured around My. Rainier a couple of days and didn't see much wildlife until we got back to the property and 16 Elk came up from the river, across Phil's property, and down the street. They were yarding up in downtown Packwood. Saw them the next day too. Also an eagle perched on a pine tree for a while one morning. House is nice and it was great to have the hot tub. All in all we were very happy.
This cabin is the perfect place to stay when visiting Mount Rainier. It has everything you need plus some. It was a nice bonus seeing a mama elk and her baby come from across the street and pass thru the yard.
