La casa cuenta con sistema de calefacción de gas totalmente automático y chimenea de madera adicional para un ambiente acogedor.

La casa también cuenta con una gran sauna y baño exterior de madera con calefacción que es perfecta para observar las estrellas en las noches nevadas de invierno.

Baldone es mejor conocido por sus recursos naturales: la curación del lodo y el agua mineral subterránea, que han facilitado el desarrollo de instalaciones recreativas y médicas aquí a lo largo de los siglos. Históricamente, Baldone ha sido el centro turístico de azufre y clima más grande del Imperio ruso y un centro turístico de importancia nacional de la Unión Soviética.

Los recursos naturales, cuyo poder curativo ha dado a conocer a Baldone incluso fuera de las fronteras nacionales, todavía se pueden encontrar en el territorio del municipio de Baldone. Aunque los campos de extracción de lodo no están abiertos al público, el manantial de azufre de Baldone "Kirzacina" (el lagarto) todavía se retuerce cerca del río Kekava en el territorio del parque Baldone Lilac. Stunning setting

The location of the house is stunning. We had lots of snow and the forest is magical. We were 2 families and had plenty of space for us all. The house had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was excellent and prompt and Gita was great as well. Would definitely recommend!

100% RECOMENDABLE

Estuvimos en Diciembre de 2013 y lo recomiendo al 100%. Se encuentra a 30 kilómetros de Riga, con buena carretera y a unos 40 kilómetros de la frontera de Lituania. A dos kilómetros de la casa esta Baldone un pueblo precioso con supermercado abierto de 8 a 22, parada de autobúses, dos pistas de ski, gasolinera.. La casa esta limpia, los dueños son personas amables y muy atentos (no tendréis problemas de que os informen sobre la casa ni cuando estéis en ella os aconsejaran de cualquier cosa o improvisto, a nosotros nos nevo por la noche y Alfred nos envió un mensaje avisandonos sobre el tiempo que haría). Un consejo si queréis pasar un rato muy agradable pedir la sauna y el baño, vale mucho la pena.

Clearly a paradise in the woods

We were here with 10 colleagues during the Rammstein Concert in Riga 2019. The House is big, well equipped and in terrific location. It contains a fire-powered sauna and a also fire powered hot tub which is great. There are also two fridges which is good if you need to cool down a lot of beer while also having your food cooled. The bedrooms are very nice arranged. There are also 3 showers and two bathrooms. In general we had a wonderful stay here and if we'll travel to Lativa again we definitely considering to check in here again. Thank you Alfred and Zane for sharing this paradise! See yo soon! -Hans, the big dog Matthias and all the other dudes!

Schöner erholsamer Urlaub

Das Ferienhaus liegt mitten im Wald und hat für Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten Lettlands eine sehr gute Lage. Die Sauna und der Hot Tube waren ein toller Spaß für alle. Wir würden wiederkommen und können das Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Spotlessly clean and spacious house. Loved the hot tub and sauna!

Stayed here in January with 11 friends. The house was easily big enough to accommodate us all. The house has all the equipment you would need for your stay and the hot tub and Sauna were perfect after a long day. Interaction with the hosts is very easy and friendly. Would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to accommodate a large group away from it all. Baldone is a 5 minute drive away and ,while there isn't a lot to see and do there, there is a supermarket that opens late to stock up on food and drinks and is a pleasant place to wander around.

Herrlich!

Wir, Familie mit erwachsenen Kindern, waren 3 Wochen im Sommer hier zu Gast. Das Haus war groß, sauber und aufgeräumt. Besonders die Badezimmer (2 Bäder, 2 weitere Duschen bei der Saune und ein weiteres Extra-WC) haben uns sehr gefreut. So musste niemand "Schlange stehen" vor einer Dusche. Sehr hilfreich war auch der gut ausgestattete Haushaltsraum, der nicht nur Waschmaschine und Trockner barg, sondern auch die vielen kleinen Dinge, die manchmal gebraucht werden, wie etwa Mückenspray - und natürlich Handtücher und Bettwäsche zum Wechseln! Das größte Vergnügen hat es uns bereitet, abends in den Badezuber zu steigen und bei einem Gas Wein, den Abend mit Wechselbädern zu beschließen. Wie man in Riga umsonst parkt und viele, viele Tipps mehr, hat uns der nette Vermieter Alfred Umlands verraten. Zu empfehlen ist auch ein Strandbesuch, etwa in Lilaste, 40 min nördlich: Weißer Sandstrand, flachere Ufer, Wald bis zum Strand... Das Haus ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen, vom Wald vor der Terrasse bis zur Städtetour. Also: DAUMEN HOCH !

spartaans ingericht verblijf in prachtige omgeving

Het huis is spartaans ingericht en duidelijk bedoeld voor grotere groepen. Alhoewel: koken voor een grote groep op twee (vrij gevaarlijke) gaspitten of BBQ'en op een heel kleine BBQ lijkt me een hele toer. Wij (twee stellen) huurden het huis voor 6 nachten en hebben met wat schuiven van de inventaris er toch nog iets huiselijks van gemaakt. Het huis ligt overigens prachtig aan een onverharde weg in het bos en daar hebben we ook erg van genoten.

Ein toller Ort zum Erholen und Spaß haben!

Wir waren zu dritt für eine Woche in diesem wunderbaren Haus. Das Haus war sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlte an nichts! Kochen für größere Gruppen könnte tatsächlich etwas anspruchsvoll sein, weil nur 2 Gaskochplatten zur Verfügung stehen. Aber der Backofen hat eine normale Haushaltsgröße. Die Lage ist für alle Ansprüche toll: Einerseits sehr abseits gelegen, so dass man wirklich seine Ruhe hatte, andererseits ist es in das Dorf Baldone nur ein kurzer Fußweg, so dass kleine Einkäufe oder auch mal Kaffeetrinken bzw. ein Burgeressen kein Problem sind. Auch der Bustransfer nach Riga funktioniert problemlos, so dass ein Auto eigentlich nur für die Anreise und große Einkäufe benötigt wird.

Forest Retreat

I hesitate to write a positive review, as it will make more people want to come to this astonishing place. Baldone forest retreat is one of the best places we have ever stayed: it allows one to commune with nature at its best, to send time in a deeply relaxing environment. We went on walks, played energetic games of cone wars (like the hunger games, only less deadly) with the kids, sat in the sauna and ate lots of meat. Baldone itself is quiet, but has a perfectly reasonable shop; the house is exceptional - better than the photos suggest, and the photos are great - it is sizeable, warm, comfortable and fun. We will be returning as soon as we can.

Spacious modern house for big families or friends

The description of the house is truthful, and I think the house is even better, as its location within the borders of a small town, but at the same time in the forest makes staying in it very pleasant. House is cleane, well maintained, Zane (the owner) answered all the questions very fast and was very helpful in all issues. We have rented different houses in different countries for our vacations for several years already, and would like to note especially the owner's attitude - very caring, but at the same respecting our privacy - this is an extemely appriciated combination. Riga is close, 30 minutes drive, those who wish can go there easily. Sauna and hot tub gave us a lot of relax and enjoyment, also the sauna services provided in separate sauna by professional sauna attendants is highly recommended. Fresh air, forest walks, tranquillity - we found here what we were looking for. We plan to come back ourselves and definetely recommend this house for families with kids, friends.

Very pleasant house, clean and spacious.

I would certainly recommend this house. It had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful. Just a tip for the owner: maybe leave a leaflet on how to get the tv/dvd player/music installation working.

Erholsamer Familienurlaub

Lieber Alfred , vielen Dank für den angenehmen Aufenthalt in Deinem Haus:-)schon die Abwicklung der Buchung war sehr unkompliziert und angenehm. Unsere Erwartungen wurden dann noch übertroffen. Das Haus ist wirklich komplett ausgestattet, die Aufteilung der Schlafzimmer und Bäder war für uns mit 6 Personen optimal.Es war unser erster Familienurlaub mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern(nun 20- 26 Jahre alt) Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig im Wald. Wir konnten gleich hinterm Haus Pfifferlinge,Blaubeeren,Himmbeeren und Walderdbeeren sammeln. Die Tiere waren nah am Haus, egal ob Rehbock, Schwarzspecht oder Eichelhäher.. Angenehm finden wir auch, dass keine versteckten Kosten wegen Energieverbrauch entstehen und die Bettwäsche und Handtücher und Endreinigung inclusive sind. Riga ist mit dem PKW ca 40 min (Zentrum)entfernt. Wir liebten den Einkauf in den Markthallen. Auch fuhren unsere Kinder mit dem Bus von Baldone nach Riga . Kein Problem, wenn man sich auf dem Busbahnhof in Riga durchgefragt hat. Wir haben viel gesehen: -Riga -Kudiga Sigukda Cesis Turaida Gauja Nationalpark Jurmala Balta Kappa Im Haus wurde die Tischtennisplatte genutzt. Wir haben die Sauna und den Hot-Pot genutzt. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe nachdem das Internet nach einem Gewitter ausgefallen war und Danke, dass wir etwas länger bleiben durften, weil Stenaline unsere Fähre gecanncellt hatte. Lediglich die nur 2 Gaskochfelder und den Minibackofen fand ich persönlich etwas zu gering dimensioniert für ein Haus, das an große Gruppen vermietet wird. Ich habe es mit dem Kochen für 6 Personen hinbekommen, es erforderte aber etwas Logistik Aber jeder sieht es sicherlich anders- es kocht ja nicht jederi m Urlaub :-) Und in der Beschreibung war die Küchenausstattung auch so angegeben. Ich kann dieses Haus nur empfehlen!

Great for a Couple a Family or a Family Reunion

I just want to say that after a short stay as a Couple, I was inspired to return for a higher quality experience in this spacious, earthy and also modern Home to enjoy it even more for a Family Reunion. You can keep it simple here or you can add more and more on to the whole experience. I particularly like the way the open Kitchen flows on into all other living areas so that all parts of the living can interact with each other. There is also plenty of quiet spaces to get away for as long as you wanted to. A walk to town was just the right distance to get outside no matter the weather. And Im pretty sure there are bicycles available to get the wind in your hair. Hopefully next time. I thought the prices here were better compared to a similar place we were considering which had less to offer and was also a similar distance to Riga. I found Alfreds very helpful when we were getting the TV and DVD player to work all of it was done on the phone! Oh Yes as the other reviews stated it is clean as in its photos and easy to maintain. I dont think I will need to look for a better place to stay again after this one,so I highly reccomend it.

Great New Year holiday

Everything was just perfect, the house is exactly as on photo even better. There was nothing that could be indicated as negative. The owner was really friendly and ready to help. House is located in the middle of the forest, we even saw a deer some morning from the window while were having the breakfast. Really good place to stay for those who is looking for a quiet and comfortable place.

I'm from Riga and have lived there all my life. I've studied civil engineering and worked as a road designer. However my true interest lies in philosophy and sustainable lifestyle.

My hobbies are photography, reading and triathlon.

We manage this house together with my mother Zane. She makes sure that everything is fully prepared for worry-free and comfortable holidays.

We inherited the land from my great-grandfather, who bought the property in 1938 when Baldone was a famous health resort and SPA.

The construction of the house was completed in 2008. It is built mainly from ecological materials. The interior and exterior of the house is fully designed by the family itself and represents what family values.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Mighty pines all around, moss covered forest floor, air so fresh that it makes one dizzy and never-ending choir of birds in the summer. You will hear woodpecker drumming, maybe neighbor's cat will visit you, now and then a car will pass by. In winter a fox might visit you, and if you're lucky, a doe will look in the window. But civilization is nearby - Baldone town center is just 20min walk from the house.
