Excellent Stay at Bridge Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Bridge Cottage - the peaceful location and facilities here were perfect for our family of all ages. Whether playing in the games room, enjoying the hammocks, playing boules on the lawn or out in the boat, there was plenty for everyone to enjoy! Very nice and highly recommended.

Pretty house in a beautiful riversudlocation

We had a lovely few days, the house is comfortable and well equipped, enjoyed the aga-warmed kitchen, cinema room and ping pong got lots of use.

A hidden gem

Lovely cottage in high ham with owners putting a lot of effort into beautiful decoration and preserving the charm of the property. Outdoor space great for meals as well as playing with the kids. We spent a lot of time in the game room playing table tennis for hours.

Beautiful country setting alongside River Cary. Lovely walks. Comfortable house and garden with games room suitable for teenagers and TV lounge. All mod cons. Will happily return.

Girlie weekend

The property was absolutely lovely! The grounds were beautiful. The little food package left was a nice touch! The beds were super comfy. 1 bathroom between 8 people was a little tricky but we made it work note; master bedroom does have an ensuite though so technically it's 2 bathrooms. There is also a toilet downstairs. The cinema room was cute and the lounge was plenty big enough for us to play games in and have a little dance! We absolutely loved the little boat outside which a few of us went on. Communication was fine, able to check in early, although we didn't meet the owner we werent bothered as our stay was all okay. Super quiet area and the views out of the bedrooms are beautiful. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Highly recommended

The perfect house for a family weekend. We are a group of 9 adults and a 3yr and 1yr old. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious but little time was spent there as so much to do. Lovely secure garden with summer house and games room and then the rowing boat which was great fun. We also brought our paddle boards. The living room and TV rooms were lovely but the beautiful weather meant we didn’t need to be in doors most of the time. Visited Ham Wall the RSPB site and heard bitterns! Sarah was very prompt and efficient in all communication. The house was well prepared for us and we did appreciate the treats she left especially the donuts, what a welcome!

Relaxing holiday.

Very lovely property. It is quite far out & you need a car to get to pubs/restaurants etc. So lovely & peaceful though & made great use of the BBQ most nights. Could of done with an extra bathroom as 2 between 9 people was challenging & particularly as one was an en-suite. , we managed though. Overall stay was fantastic, left feeling chilled & relaxed just what a holiday should do. Slept really well as so quiet!

Great family getaway!

This is a lovely property in peaceful location. Our teenage grandchildren enjoyed the table tennis, badminton and croquet (as we all did!) available, and the cinema room was a bonus! Sarah and Jeremy were excellent hosts ready to offer immediate help with any problems and questions. We will certainly rebook! Thank you Sarah and Jeremy for letting us stay!

The perfect weekend

Somerset Gem!

We stayed in the cottage over Xmas and New Year and had the most wonderful time in this cosy yet spacious cottage. Room allocations were good and the size of communal areas were big enough to accommodate us all (8). The lounge was just magnificent! Loved the fact that the TV was tucked away in a dedicated entertainment room keeping the living room purely as a social space

Superb property

The pictures of this cottage do not do it justice, it is far bigger than it looks in the photo's, superbly equipped and has a wonderful garden and setting. At night it is incredibly quiet, just the sound of the water from the level. Loved the property and will look to return.

Family get together

Wow what a cottage. So spacious, you could easily live in just the Kitchen with its 10 seater farmhouse style table. All rooms are so generous. Has everything you could require . Lovely location, ample space, all amenities catered for, very clean & well looked after. Lovely garden, just perfect for the little ones with the games room and the summerhouse. Wonderful host in Sarah. Can’t recommend highly enough. Would definitely go back.

Peaceful holiday

We had a lovely time in this beautiful spacious house by the river. Loads of room for nine of us, very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We made good use of the garden and the game room and we kayaked on the river. The cinema room was very popular too! We’d love to come again.

Above and beyond

This cottage is simply wonderful. From the huge, light and airy kitchen to the comfortably furnished bedroom, there is nothing more we could have asked for. The kids were especially happy with the TV room while the adults could relax in the lounge, by the fireplace. The grounds are lovely and the game shed a nice addition. Would definitely return.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Bridge Cottage the minute Jeremy found it. Situated by the River Cary it has a magical feel about it. It is a great get away from it all cottage with walks and views all around. Amenities and local pubs are just a short drive away.
