- You must check out the Antrim Coast Road, described as 'one of the top 5 driving trips in the world'.
- A day trip to our capitol, Belfast, is only about 1 hour 15 minutes away.
- In Portstewart there are many restaurants,or try Portrush for a change.

About Geoff and Hilda
I am a retired Civil Servant, and for most of my working life I was in the computer software and security business. I was born in Portstewart and lived there until I got married to Hilda in 1971, when I moved to Belfast. Hilda trained and nursed in the RVH Belfast before and after we had 3 children. Hilda has now been a counsellor for the last 20 years. We have four grandchildren.
Why Geoff and Hilda chose Portstewart
1 Seafield Park was Hilda's family home from 1966 after moving from Belfast. Two years later Hilda moved back to Belfast to train as a nurse in the RVH. We have owned the house from about 2001. It has been fully renovated and fitted out with high quality furnishings, kitchen appliances and units. We try to ensure that the property in kept in 5 star condition, not only for our own use but to share with you, our guests.
What makes this House unique
We have 3 grown up children and 4 grandchildren. They have all spent many happy holidays in this house which is now fully equipped and modernised for present day living. The property is in a peaceful location yet very convenient to the beach, our promenade and all the magnificent scenery of the North Coast and Donegal. We have private parking and an enclosed back garden

Terrific house and location. Great hosts.
We had a great break. The house was centrally located to both the beach and the promenade. Well equipped. Very clean. Lots of little extras for the children. Loved it.
Thanks Catherine, glad you had a good time, It's nice to get away for a few days "out of the blue", as it were. You mustn't forget the little extras for the adults as well?
For those who don't visit the North Coast regularly, it is always nice to come back and get reacquainted with this beautiful area. See you again, perhaps.
home away from home
Very warm welcome by Geoff who showed us around in their cosy home. We very much enjoyed the house and were grateful for the winter duvets, as the nights were chilly. It is ideally located to walk down to Portsewart strand and shops.
It was lovely to welcome you Elisabeth and your daughter all the way from Luxembourg.
I know this was not your first visit to Portstewart as this is Michelle's third year at the University of Ulster, but it was your first visit to us. I know you have enjoyed coming over to settle her in to, and pick her up from the University and at the same time enjoy the beauty and sea air of our wonderful North Coast.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review, perhaps we will see you again should you return.
Thank you for staying with us Elisabeth.
Wonderful well stocked home in great location
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks in this wonderful cosy home. Everything you need is here. It's clean and comfortable and feels like home. The owner Geoff was warm and welcoming and even sent a few emails during our stay to make sure all was well. We really appreciated his wealth of knowledge and suggestions for local activities. A wonderful location with much available within walking distance - loved 3 kings especially. Perfect location for driving To many Northern Ireland sights.
Thank you very much Roisin for taking the time to write your review of your stay with us.
We are pleased to have you to stay, travelling all the way from Richmond, B.C. Canada. I was especially pleased to welcome your Dad, returning to his roots. You had a good chance to see some of the wonderful scenery, the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle and maybe a wee tipple at the Bushmills Distillery. You took the chance also to visit our capital city, Belfast (my adopted home) by train, very relaxing and worthwhile. Perhaps I should explain the "3 Kings" you mentioned. Although we like to think of ourselves as being very Regal around Portstewart, the 3 Kings is in fact a Coffee shop with snacks, glad you enjoyed it (many other coffee shops are available!)
It was great having you, maybe see you next time.
Lovely stay in Portstewart
We spent a week in Portstewart at this property. It provided everything we needed and more. It really is a home from home, 3 lovely bedrooms, a spacious living/dining room and good sized kitchen. The location was second to none, being only 5 minutes walk from Portstewart main centre and 10 minutes from the main beach. We were blessed with some good weather and I can thoroughly recommend this part of Northern Ireland, great scenery and even better tourist attractions.
Thank you you so much Steve and Sally for your nice comments, we are especially pleased you had such a great time. You certainly packed in a lot, you were telling me you visited Dunluce Castle, Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Bushmills Distillery and more. Of course there was also time spent enjoying the wonderful Strand at Portstewart with your two young ladies. possibly using the buckets, spades, wind breaks and little kiddies body board made available for your use. If you are a National Trust members you certainly get value for money on a visit to the North Coast. Come back soon.
Always stay here when we visit Portstewart. First class. Highly recommended.
Thanks Chris, you know we are always glad to see you, Suzanne and the children, my haven't they grown. This was your fifth visit and review, you have said it all before.
We know you all have a real love for the North coast and Portstewart especially, and why not, all our guests agree with you.
Thank you for your loyalty, see you again soon.
Great location for both the beach and the promenade
The house was indeed well presented and had everything you'd need for a holiday house. It was in a great location with just a few minutes one way to the promenade and a few more the other to the beach. It was very quiet and we all slept very well. Geoff & Hilda were there to meet us when we arrived & were both friendly & helpful.
Thank you Theresa for staying with us and for writing a review.
We are very convenient and within easy walking distance to the promenade and as you say a little further to the beach. However if it is only a little sand you want and a little paddle, there is a piece of sand below the prom, and you can pop over for an ice cream across the road.
The major highlights of Giants Causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge and Bushmills Distillery are all within a reasonable short drive. We also have fresh sea air in abundance. See you soon
Portstewart is a quite, sedate resort, with a picturesque harbour and promenade and to the west is the sweeping two-mile stretch of Portstewart Strand. Great golf courses including Portstewart and Royal Portrush which was the venue for Irish Open 2012. Travel east and within 20 minutes you can visit Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery, Giant's Causeway. Travel a little further see Carrig-a-rede ropebridge and Ballycastle and a little boat trip to Rathlin Island and do a spot of Bird Watching. Portstewart has wonderful coastal walks to Blue Flag beaches, swim, surf or lie in the dunes and soak up the sun. If you want to play, there is Tennis, Bowls, Putting, Sea Fishing trips from the local harbour, surfing on Portstewart Strand or for a change try Portrush and of course Championship Golf courses in Portstewart and Portrush. Go west to Derry / Londonderry (was UK City of Culture 2013, about 1hr. drive) and Co.Donegal for more magnificent scenery. Come during May for the International North West 200 Motor Cycle Race Week; July for the N.I. Milk Cup football Tournament and 'Keswick at Portstewart'; September for the N.I. International Air Show. These are just a few of the highlights. Remember each season gives a different experience.
