About Jaime Lamp
My husband and I first came to Salida in 2002 and moved to Salida area full time in 2006. We were originally from Illinois but feel like Salida is our forever home. We came to the mountains to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to enjoy the fruits of the mountains. We enjoy rafting, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snow shoeing. We also love animals and encourage you to bring your best friend on your trips to Salida.
Jaime Lamp purchased this House in 2008
Why Jaime Lamp chose Salida
We bought this home in 2008 and renovated it from top to bottom. We did all the work ourselves and take great pride in having taken something from disaster to diamond. The location is perfect for everything Salida and surrounding. The home is comfortable and clean.
What makes this House unique
Doggy door in place that you can use or keep closed (whichever you prefer). The yard is totally fenced in and has a safety clasp on gate for your pup to be safe. We offer shed storage for your bikes/skis/etc that can be pad locked with key provided. We offer off street parking and anytime access with key pad entry in case you need to check in late. We have Weber gas grill for all your grilling needs and view of all the mountains 360. Enjoy!

Special little spot!
Love staying at this location for so many reasons. It's small, and dog friendly, has everything you need, a great large bathroom and kitchen, and best of all, a full yard in the front and back to enjoy the outside air! This house is located very close to downtown restaurants, the river and dozens of trails. We rode our bike to them from the house easily. Salida and surrounding area is just amazing!
A-plus for this A-frame!!
We had an AWESOME time in Salida, thanks to this cool property on Oak Street! We were charmed the minute we walked into the gated front yard and our delight only increased from there. The entire home is just lovely -- stylish furniture, comfortable bed, roomy bathroom, and even an assortment of dog toys that our pup, Otis, thoroughly enjoyed. We spent our evenings grilling and chilling on the back porch, or watching the sunset from the green grass of the tree-lined front yard.
With its immediate proximity to downtown and the bike trails of Tenderfoot Mountain, the location is unbeatable. The surrounding neighborhood is eminently walkable, and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We are both light sleepers, but we found that the box fan fully mitigated the morning traffic noise along Oak Street.
Jaime, our host, is a great communicator, and the effort that she invested in making our stay enjoyable is very much appreciated. The kitchen is equipped with every possible appliance and utensil you can imagine, and other thoughtful touches abound -- from the shoe rack by the front door to the bike storage shed in the back, Jaime has seemingly thought of everything that her guests could possibly need.
This was our first visit to Salida, and it very quickly made our shortlist of "must-do-again" destinations. Our overwhelmingly positive impression was due in no small part to these stellar accommodations. We can't imagine staying anywhere else!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful and through review Mary. We try to make the most clean, comfortable and hospitable place for both humans and pets to enjoy their vacations. We enjoyed having you guys and would welcome you back again anytime.
Great Dog Friendly Place
Spacious house with dog door. Dog loved the toys, especially the stuffed chicken inside and the big ball outside. Great location. Even though on the busy street, nice enclosed grass yard in front and nice patio in back. Shed for storing tubes, bikes, etc. Enjoyed it very much!
Clean and well kept.
Liked the architecture. Front and back yards great for dogs. Liked the Ikea style kitchen with metal bars holding utensils. Just five minute drive to historic downtown.
Great location and even better hospitality
We had a wonderful stay at this charming property. Better yet, the owner, Jaime was very courteous with making sure that we were comfortable.
I don’t expect much from dog friendly rentals but my expectations were greatly exceeded with this cozy home.
A great gem of a place.
beautiful little place, our dog loved it, we loved it for being close to downtown and a straight shot to Monarch for some great late season turns.
Thanks for staying with us Seth, glad your pup enjoyed the space. We love to host nice folks and their super pets.
We are conveniently located < 1/2 mile from Downtown Historic Salida, Colorado's oldest historic district. Enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, rafting, soaking in hot springs or just relaxing watching Netflix. Many of our world class mountain bike trails can be reached from the house, no driving necessary. 20 Miles to Monarch mountain, easy access to Arkansas river and local rafting companies can take you on white water adventure.
