We had a wonderful stay, excellent accomodation, very conveniently located, walking distance to shops and the canal. The owners were amazing, very helpful and friendly. We look forward to being able to stay again next time we are visiting the area. Very highly recommended.

Month stay

The location was wonderful, with opportunities to travel everywhere in the area. The house had everything we needed and the owners were very cooperative and helpful. It was very well-equipped. The courtyard was also lovely. The only warning would be that if you have a problem with stairs, this house might not be for you. I would highly recommend the listing.

Character property

Lovely old property with lots of character. Very peaceful despite being in centre of village. Owners were very helpful with good suggestions for local restaurants and markets. They kept a low profile whenever we used the garden/pool, which was much appreciated. As cat lovers, we did enjoy the many visits from their characterful cats however. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The perfect place in Trebes, France!

This was a wonderful experience for my husband and myself. The house is very compact but has a lovely and private yard with a pool. My husband ran into a health issue that required hospitalization and the fabulous hosts, Lydia and Marc, were very supportive and concerned. Marc never left my side at the hospital, taking care of the admission as French is not my language. We highly recommend this vacation place.

Rêves a Trèbes

We had a wonderful 3 months in La Petite Maison and its delightful garden. Exploring the beautiful villages of the Minervois, the Montagne Noire, Corbieres and the surrounding cities of Carcassonne, Narbonne, Beziers and Montpelier. Marc and Lydie were super hosts, and we shall miss the antics of Margot very much. I suspect we’ll be back! (Hold on Lulu 🤗)

Nous avons trouvé l'emplacement ideal pour les châteaux de Lastours, le goufre de Cabrespine, Carcassonne, etc. Excellent restaurant marocain "L'Arganier" au coin de la rue. Appartement coquet et avec toutes les commodités. 2 escaliers d'accès difficiles à prévoir. Nous navons pas utilisé la piscine fin octobre, dommage, la cour était charmante. Merci encore.

Wir haben die Tage in Trebes sehr genossen. Marc und Lydie sind wunderbare Gastgeber und haben einen schönen Ort für einen Urlaub zu zweit geschaffen. Die Umgebung bietet unzählige Möglichkeiten, Kultur, Natur und Geschichte zu entdecken. Der Pool ist nach einem heißen Tag die perfekte Abkühlung. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

We werden gastvrij ontvangen door Marc die geweldig goed engels spreekt. Het is een groene oase van rust. Restaurants en winkeltjes op loopafstand. Echt een aanrader.

Parfait week-end entre amis

Nous avons passé un super week-end dans ce logement de Trèbes. Le logement est au fond du jardin des propriétaires tout en étant complètement indépendant, et sans vis à vis (surélevé). Le jardin est superbe, parfait pour profiter du soleil au pied de l'église. L'intérieur du logement a été rénové avec beaucoup de goût et dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires (il y a même un lave vaisselle). Nous recommandons chaudement ce logement pour un week-end entre amis dans le sud!

Très agréable

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette petite maison au calme. Le jardin et la piscine ont été très appréciés. L'intérieur de la maison est plus joli que sur les photos. Tout l'indispensable y est présent. Le fait de "partager" le jardin avec les propriétaires n'est absolument pas un problème car ils sont en contrebas. Le village est d'un calme olympien, seuls les pigeons font du bruit et ce n'est absolument pas gênant. La piscine est faite pour se rafraichir et est praticable par toute la famille. Le wifi fonctionne bien et heureusement car on ne capte pas le réseau à l'intérieur de la maison mais on peut le capter dans le jardin. Les propriétaires nous ont donné d'excellents conseils de visites à faire dans la région et sont discrets et très sympathiques. Je recommande à 100% cette location.

Logement plein de charme, cadre extérieur magnifique. Le seul bémol pour nos prédécesseurs qui avaient oublié de nettoyer le micro-onde et de vérifier la vaisselle. Faire l'Office de tourisme de Trèbes qui est de bon conseil.

Mysigt litet hus med trädgård som delas med det trevliga värdparet och deras mycket sociala katter. Köket passar för enklare matlagning (liten ugn och spis med två lågor). Köksbordet rymmer fyra personer. Ett par minuters promenad till bageri och restauranger.

I just spent a week with my children there in this cool, sort-of-hidden house in the village of Trèbes... Needless to say that, aside Carcassonne, walks through endless vinyards nearby and just spending time in a quiet, old school yet renovated french cottage, the best part of it all was to be in awe at the superbe, lush beauty of its private garden and pool area, and to marvel at the church’s lit gothic wall and windows at night, or at any time for that matter... Aside of that, both Lydie and Mark went well beyond the line of duty to ensure we had a great experience (even after we left) while proving to be the great neighbors one would wish to have in a place like that in order to make everything perfect...

Ein bezauberndes Haus mit Vintage-Einrichtung. Sehr liebenswürdige Gastgeber, die deutsch und englisch sprechen. Tolle Lage am Canal du Midi. Trebes ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unterschiedliche Tagestouren.

Cosy Cottage

This property is an absolute gem of a 'get away'. Myself and my teenage son recently spent a week at this idyllic location. The cottage is situated at the back of the owners property. You have your own access. Each room is filled with every utensil, map, recipe book, toy, book and bedding you need to make your stay comfortable. I was super impressed how much attention to detail was given in making sure every possible item you may need was available. The owners Lydie and Marc are so welcoming and went out of their way to be of service, but not intrusive. The pool is fabulous (son loved it). The cottage is typically french rustic, even the spiders and pigeons are at home here. You need a car if you want to see more of the area, I learnt this the hard way. The number 10 bus will take you to Carcassone (a must to see). Be aware that the buses ( 1 euro) are infrequent and unreliable, I had to pay 26 euros to get back to Trebes, as the bus didn't show! We will most certainly return.

Lovely house in great village

We stayed here for 6 nights in August 19, 2 adults and two children (11 & 14). House was perfect for us, had everything we needed for our stay, garden and pool were wonderful. The house is much better than the photos. Hosts were friendly and live next door, available if needed but not intrusive at all. Trebes is a lovely village, the marina area has restaurants by the Canal which is busy with boats. We had some great days out, we hired bikes from a place in the village and cycled to Carcassonne along the Canal de Midi. Easy to get into Carcassonne by car. We also visited the beach at Narbonne Plage and the abbey at Lagrasse - lots to do in the area, wish we had stayed longer!

Quirky little place that suited us well.

We enjoyed our stay here. It suited us for the 4 nights we stayed to explore this part for France. Was well located near to Carcassone and the surrounding area. The pool was great to come back to after a hit day exploring.
