Morwennol is all about location, location, location. Just 50 metres from the main beach and directly opposite Rhosneigr's surf shops and cafés, you'll be in the heart of the action from the moment you arrive. If it's sea, surf, and a buzzing village vibe you're after, this is the spot.
This is a great-value property for families or groups who want space and proximity to everything, without paying top-end prices. It's an older-style house with a few modern updates, but what it might lack in polish, it makes up for in square footage and unbeatable positioning.
The living space is huge. A bright, extended lounge with loads of comfy seating and patio doors opening onto the garden is made for laid-back get-togethers. There's also a large flat-screen TV and a log burner to keep things cosy in the cooler months. The kitchen diner is fully equipped and social, with another log burner and direct access to the patio for easy outdoor dining. Downstairs also features a private en-suite king bedroom with French doors to the garden, ideal for grandparents or guests who'd prefer to avoid stairs. The en-suite includes a freestanding 6ft bath and a walk-in shower.
Upstairs, there are four more bedrooms, all with sea views: a king-size master with en-suite, another king room, and two twins. Plus, you've got two more bathrooms, five in total, so no queues when it's time to head out.
Outside, there's a large walled garden with wrap-around patio, space for BBQs, lounging, games, and more. There's also a sunny, sheltered deck at the back of the house, a great little reading nook, and parking for three cars on the drive. An EV charger is available for guest use. No garage access. Internet is a free amenity, however due to our unique location on Anglesey, we cannot always guarantee its performance or availability. We appreciate your understanding if this service becomes unavailable during your stay, as compensation cannot be offered. Experience the thrill of aviation! During your stay, you might catch the occasional fighter jet display from RAF Valley, a beloved feature of Anglesey. Flights occur on weekdays during working hours. Although jets don't fly directly overhead, sounds can be heard more clearly with open doors or windows. It's part of the local charm and adds to the adventurous spirit of your visit.

Family celebration
Morwennol was perfect for our multi generational family celebration weekend. Having the ground floor en suite bedroom was a little haven. Upstairs bedrooms & bathrooms were perfect for two couples & three grandchildren. The master bedroom had a very special view of Rhosneigr beach & the sea - sunset was wonderful. Morwennol does need a bit of tlc as it’s looking a little tired in places. Would have appreciated the 5 bathrooms/loos having at least a toilet roll in each on arrival. The enclosed garden was perfect for little ones to safely run around in but our cocker spaniel did escape under the front gate twice. Overall it was ideal for us all to enjoy some family time together.

Beautiful property and great location
Great family property including the annexe bedroom suitable for an elderly person
Ground floor spacious and well equipped and good size and well kept secure garden with excellent barbecue facility and outdoor seating area.
Great sea views both downstairs and from all the bedrooms and good size en-suite and separate bathroom and shower rooms
The second double bedroom upstairs needs some upgrade with limited wardrobe space and a new bed mattress is required
Great location 50 years from the beach and across the road from the surf cafe
Ample car park space on the drive.
Overall a very enjoyable week in a beautiful location.

Fantastic location but some disappointing aspects.
Basic items lacking. Only 3 toilet rolls for 5 bathrooms. Tiny sample tube of washing up liquid so we had to buy some. No replacement bin liners, so again we had to buy some. No cleaning products to wipe surfaces. These are just basic things that we’ve not had to buy in other properties. Garden not safe for smaller dogs as our Jack Russell could get under the gate quite easily and straight onto the road. Perhaps some wire mesh attached to the bottom of the gate? I would recommend this property to others, but make sure you bring these basic items with you!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you would recommend the property overall and enjoyed your stay.
As this is a self catering property, the arrival essentials is only intended to get you started and we kindly recommend bringing along any additional items you may need to make your visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We do provide a comprehensive list in our digital welcome guide informing our guests of what we do provide at the property so it is a shame that this was a disappointing element of your stay.
Regarding the garden, we appreciate your note about smaller dogs. We will mention your suggestion of attaching wire mesh to the bottom of the gate for the owners consideration..
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and we do hope that we are able to welcome you back in the future.

Wonderful house ideally situated close to beach.
Clean well equiped property. Ideally situated comfortable beds and plenty of seating. Views are great and the sunsets spectacular. My only criticism would be the outdoor furniture in the bbq area needs renovating or replacing and the bbq needed a clean. The house insidec was immaculate and the garden ideal for children and families to relax. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Amazing house
We had an amazing time at Morwennol. The house was perfect for the 6 of us plus a labrador with the additional bonus of a garden with a BBQ and parking for 3 cars which is a real plus in Rhosneigr and so close to the beach too. The house itself was decorated to a high standard and the downstairs bedroom and ensuite were perfect for the grandparents with everything on one level. Can't wait to return.

Storm Dennis and 70mph winds no problem in Morwennol, but beach walks with the dogs rather bracing.
There's something very comforting and reassuring sitting by the flickering flames of a log burner watching the nature do its worst outside. Our third visit to Morwennol coincided with some of the worst weather of the winter. The house is warm and snug once you master the heating controls and there is the added bonus of the two log burners and we were glad to have brought a supply of logs, not particularly because the house needed the extra heating but because it added to the cosy family feel for our multi generational family half term holiday.
The house is spacious enough for all family members to have their own space when they wish and the large dining area and lounge enhance the communal family friendly feel.
The downstairs bedroom and en suite is a big plus both for privacy and convenience.
In the main everything in the house is top notch but there are areas that could do with freshening up. The main problem we had is with the mattress in the rear upstairs bedroom which has clearly seen better days and was not the best even when we first stayed at Morwennol several years ago.
Another disappointment was dining at the Oyster Catcher, which was a favourite haunt of ours but we had reservations about it last year and this time was very poor value. However I can report that Scarlett's Chippy is still excellent both in terms of quality and value, it's always busy with large orders so you can place your order and pop over the road to the Sandy Mount for a drink while you're waiting.
The weather was so bad that the usual 8.00am wake up call of the first flights of the day from RAF Valley never bothered us, there was negligible flying during the week, much to the disappointment of some family members.
While it was hardly the type of holiday you can have in Rhosneigr during the summer it was still very enjoyable and we would return to this house again.
As always the service from Rhosneigr Holidays was excellent, even to the extent of coming out to replace a light bulb in a gale, that's good customer service.
If you don't know the area I would recommend it. I first came here on holiday over 60 years ago and although I've travelled a fair bit since then I never tire of revisiting this area with it's bays and beaches within reach of the mountains and wonderful seascapes and sunsets.

Great location. Lovely house, but some areas need plastering & painting, eg bedroom upstairs. Down stair en-suite bathroom door handle was falling off, at one point was locked in bathroom. Kitchen surfaces & cabinets could of been a bit cleaner. Also no tea towels which have always been supplied before in other properties. But otherwise a great stay thanks

Thank you for your kind comments Eleanor. We hope to see you here again soon.
A fabulous house for our family gathering for my husband’s 80th birthday. The barbecue area was ideal and the fly over by Red Arrows as he cut the cake was something else!!
It was well equipped to cater for a large party. The views were fabulous and the new rooms a real asset. The shower room on the ground floor was very useful.
There were a few teething problems after the building work but we had a prompt response.
There were however a couple of issues. There was a lot of dog dirt in the barbecue area on our arrival which we had to clear up before we could use it.
A couple of people fell on the steps on the decking( not inebriated!) It is difficult to see the edges of the steps . Also the step coming out of the suite into the kitchen has the same problem. It would be a good idea to put some visible tape on them.
