Strathearn Cottage Leura

Relax and escape the hustle and bustle and soak up the fresh mountain air. Enjoy our real country cottage that dates back to the late 1800’s with magical bushland at your doorstep. And, you will only be minutes away from all the Blue Mountains exciting attractions, shops, restaurants, markets and transport. Strathearn is great for both families or that quiet little romantic getaway.”


Strathearn is a miners style cottage with original fireplace has two bedrooms with the bathroom being off the main bedroom and can sleep 2 to 5 people. Children, (cot and playpen available), and small pets most welcome. Open plan living & dining, plus fully equipped kitchen.



Strathearn has been a successful holiday cottage since 2001. The cottage is situated less than 1km from the historic Leura mall. The mall is famous for its cherry blossoms, restaurants and fabulous shopping.
Katoomba and Wentworth Falls are just minutes away where you will enjoy more bush walks and escarpment views.

Lovely break away

We loved it and will definitely go again, my grandson loved the fire place he made s’mores every night while we relaxed and unwinded, we took walks during the day some breathtaking views, we also did scenic world that was fun, walked around Leura Mall, all activities were close to this property so this property was ideal, this cottage is lovely and had everything we needed and more, Bev was extremely accommodating

Quiet with lovely outlook.

The house is in a very quiet area, high up in the trees. Bev was super kind and helpful. We had a medium sized dog which was fine, but I don’t think it would be suitable for bigger dogs, or more than one dog as the garden is very small and is off the main bedroom. The bathroom is also off the main bedroom which was fine for us as it was just the two of us. It was nice and warm with aircon and also an open fire. We enjoyed our stay.

Comfy cottage

We enjoyed a really relaxing weekend at Strathearn Cottage. Weather was great, and we enjoyed exploring the local neighbourhood for walks with our dog. Such a quite setting surrounded by interesting homes and gardens. Leura and Katoomba shops and lookouts are only a short drive away, so we found the location perfect.

Wonderful cottage

This cottage was located up on a hill so you got a beautiful outlook from the windows of trees and wildlife. We came in winter and had the opportunity to see snow. The place had plenty of options to keep you warm, including a beautiful cackling fireplace. Beverly was wonderful she provided us clear directions on how to access the property and kept in contact making sure we were comfortable. I have recommended the place to family and friends.

We loved Strathearn cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. A clean, cosy, well-situated, private cottage in Leura with beautiful decor and lovely greenery. Beverly was extremely helpful with all aspects of the booking and our stay. We were able to take our dogs and there is a little side garden where they could go.

Peaceful & tranquil Strathearn Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Strathearn Cottage. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the spectacular treetop views. Our little pup really enjoyed the view too! Beverly was so attentive. We look forward to visiting again.

Quaint mountain cottage

My brother, my dog Daisy and I stayed for two nights. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay.
