About this property

Sonata / Port Douglas

Residence is located within the very sought after Solander estate , the area is renowned for it's quality beachside homes and convenient four minute drive to the centre of town , or a leisurely walk along the beachfront (approx 30 mins ) . Shuttles to the front door to all destinations around Port Douglas within minutes .With over twenty years of local knowledge we can also recommend plenty of attractions to experience .



The property contains four bedrooms all very spacious with three queen beds and one room with two single beds , two of the bedrooms have wall mounted LCDs with wifi / Netflix on the wall and all bedrooms are airconditioned with fans and builtin's . The living room contains a lcd screen with Netflix access / stereo and dvd . Internet / wifi are available .There is one ensuite bathroom and a second bathroom with spa bath . The layout is open plan and can easily accomodate up to eight people without being crowded in four bedrooms and two bathrooms with dining internally and on the rear verandah.
Our pricing is based on six guests in four bedrooms and two bathroom configuration . An additional two guests at a rate of $25 a night can be accommodated. The property can be configured for four guests as two bedrooms and two bathrooms upon request all stays are a minimum seven nights . Please contact Steve for further information .

For relaxing , the pool area is fully fenced for child safety and contains a dining area within pool enclosure as well as another on the rear patio with bbq facilities as multiple sunlounges . There are a selection of toys , as well as pool toys for use of younger children at the property . In regards to infants a portacot and high chair are provided for use . Linen beach and bath towels are provided with complimentary amenities supplies on arrival . Please note all stays over seven nights will incur an additional $250 charge for a mid stay service including linen , beach and bath towels .

We spent 13 nights at Sonata Close, and found it suited every aspect we required for our family holiday. There were plenty of beds for our extended family ranging from 18 months to 77 years. There were no safety issues for the pool with the toddler, and it was great to have a cot and high chair available. The large smart TV in the living room kept the 8-10 year olds occupied when they tired of their 4 swims a day in the beautiful pool. The beach was just a few minutes walk away, and there was a playground nearby for the kids enjoyment. The house was very clean and comfortable, and the host responded very quickly to any questions. We thoroughly recommend this property for a family holiday.

Sunny stay at Sonata

Our two families (party of 8) had a wonderful stay at Steve’s accommodation. Plenty of room for our families. Awesome pool and outdoor entertaining area. Great location. It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed, including a much needed coffee machine with pods.Steve was an excellent communicator and also appreciated his flexibility when we had to change our dates. Would return and highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Accomm

Wonderful house with big spacious bedrooms. Perfect for young family (we went with 3yo and 6month old). Lots of kid friendly things including highchair and portacot, dvds, plastic plates/cups/bowls, toys and colouring books. House also very kid safe. Walking distance to the beach and a playground and a quick and easy drive into town. Great grassy area for the kids to run around. Steve was very communicative and easy to contact throughout our stay if needed. A fantastic house for families - highly, highly recommended. Thank you so much for a very relaxing stay.

Holiday in paradise

The property exuded peace and tranquility. It was completely private yet our host answered every queries with speed and grace. While close walking distance from the beach it was in a suburb that had little traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back

Great family holiday experience

We stay in Sonata for 2weeks during school holidays. It was a perfect location and house for our family of 5. Very quiet area easy walking distance to the beach. Very spacious house and the kids loved the pool and toys provided. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect place in Port Douglas

We really enjoyed our stay: Great location, Good pool, Great size (even for an extended family of 5 adults & 2 kids needing 4 bedrooms) & had everything we all needed. Steve is a really thoughtful host, supplying things that would usually be overlooked (eg beach towels, mozzy coils, kids toys etc). Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Very comfortable family friendly house

We stayed during school hoidays and despite the peak time found the house and surroundings very relaxing and laid back. The house has all the comforts that you expect and more, such as toys for kids, bbq and fully equipped kitchen. Everything was spotless. The backyard is big enough for a bit of cricket and soccer and the pool was also very nice although not heated. Very easy walk to the four-mile beach and little park with the playground. Highly recommended!

Brilliant for families

We stayed here for a week in July, loved the house. Steve is super helpful and the place is well set up for kids, including a good selection of toys, buckets and spades and they even provided a comfy mattress and linen for the travel cot. Lots of towels, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, no complaints!! We will go back. Only 5 mins to park and beach too.

Our family of 5 (including 2 teenagers) stayed at Sonata for a week in the October school holidays.What a place! Sonata has a lovely beach house feel to it and is set up so that whilst we could lounge together in the open plan living areas, you could also spend quiet time in a bedroom without being isolated. The house is really comfortable and well laid out, the kitchen is well equipped & the level of thought around what might be needed is excellent. I really appreciated not having to take linen and towels, especially as we had to fly to Cairns, and the children made great use of the pool and the pool toys provided!The beach is just around the corner so we could be as active or lazy as we wanted. The owners couldn't have been more helpful in co-ordinating our arrival making everything seamless and easy. We had a fabulous week simply relaxing and will happily go back there again.

My family and i had the most wonderful week at No 1 Sonta. So close to the beach and easy access to transport. My son and his wife have a 10 month old daughter and everything she needed was available. The pool was great after a long hot walk on the beach. The property was exceptionally clean even down to the buckets and spades!I can highly recommend this property to any family thinking of staying in Port Douglas.
