Gorgeous 2 bedroom country cottage - private, peaceful & perfect for a getaway!
About Robyn Olsson
I am passionate about providing excellent holiday accommodation and service to our guests! Married with five children, I understand the importance of great, family holidays. Some of our fondest memories have been created from time spent together at various family-friendly holiday locations. My husband, Murray, spent most of his growing up years at the Eighteen Mile Property. He, along with three of our sons currently run a beef cattle farm in the surrounding paddocks of both the cottage and homestead. We are enthusiastic about sharing this fantastic property with all of our guests!
What makes this Cottage unique
Private and stunning location in the Lost World Valley, part of the Scenic Rim Queensland. Nestled beside a meandering, fresh water river that is located close to its source - the Lamington National Park. Opportunities to hike and explore the 500 (approx) acre property, with mountainous views. Outdoor private campfire area. Excellent for stargazing as there are open sky areas with no city lights. Family owned and operated property for 4 decades. Possible opportunities to view a beef cattle farm in operation - sometimes guests enjoy taking part a little.

Great spot away from it all
Quaint, isolated, comfortable and well-appointed little cottage. Had everything we needed and was exactly what we were after for a rural family getaway. My young girls loved the fire and the cows and the creek. Nice and close to The Lost World and plenty of other Scenic Rim attractions.
Long weekend away
We, the two of us and our little four legged friends, really enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of the cottage. There was lots of great paddock and bush to explore, and the sound of the running creek in the afternoon was really cool.
We do want to come back again.
A home away from home & blew away expectations!
My 2 sons, my 4 legged fur baby & I had a beautiful mini getaway. We didn’t want for anything. Unfortunately I fell sick the day after I arrived so didn’t get to explore the property & surrounds us much as I had hoped but all the more reason to come back. I’m already planning when I can return, & will definitely bring the rest of our family. My furbaby kept getting through the front gate to explore the cow paddocks so I would bring something next time to stop her from getting under. We enjoyed visiting the creek, lighting the fire in the fire pit, watching the cows wander through the lower paddocks, the boys shared a spa bath & we enjoying a cooked breakfast each morning on the large deck out the back overlooking the paddocks & mountains. I can’t wait to see what else there is to see & explore.
Gorgeous house and scenery. Creek was low and hard to find a place to swim but we still loved it.
The owners have thought of everything, including chocolates & wine. The camp fire was great and our dog enjoyed the space & ambience. Highly recommend for a getaway.
We completely enjoyed our stay. We bought our kayaks to paddle in the river, we fished and watched the fish ingnore our bait.. lol. Swimming in the river. BBQs for lunch and dinner.. And the all important spa bath at night time,,, So relaxing. The house was devine and everything was supplied. Thank you so mmuch for our stay
Peaceful and just dog proof.
The house was well equipped, comfortable, nice outdoor area and beautiful creek. My partner and i and our dog Max had a good break! We had everything we needed. Did need to fix a few fence gaps to make the property staffy secure but Murray and Robyn were great. Lovely time.
